Yes, but make sure that it is in MSC mode. That way, it will appear as a flash drive on your Mac, and you just drag and drop your songs into it. Do Not format it using your Mac, as that will screw it up. What do you mean by fully? As in integrates with iTunes? Then no, but you can drag and drop your mp3s into it as a mass storage device. Hope this helps and Welcome to the Forums!

Hi. Really appreciate any and all help anyone can give me regarding using Meizu with a Mac. I called Mac today and a tech gave me the link to free conversion software, Koyotesoft, which will make ALL my songs MP3 ones. That's a start anyway. I don't get my Meizu until next Friday but I would like to know something about it when I do get it. Hey, anyone use this Koyote converter before?

    thanks all,
    patrick

i haven't heard of Koyote, but I'm glad you're going to so much trouble to get ready for your new player. it's m6 right? because they don't make m3's any more.

You might not have to convert them, are they in M4a/AAC format? If so then you do have to convert them. If not, the m6 supports pretty much every audio codec out there. If you want to wait a while, it won't be long until Rockbox gets released for the M6, and then the possibilities are endless, as Rockbox is an open source firmware for your player. You can request anything you want and the deveolpers will make it. Rockbox supports the iTunes M4a/AAC format, so you don't need to convert.

not sure what the number is on it. It is a 2GB, got mine for $25 after a $20 rebate. Is the M6 the 4GB?
How long have these been out, these Meizus? Because the battery will eventually die, and I've not seen anyone address that issue in this forum.

Hi. Thank you for responding to my posts. Like I said, I appreciate any help. You are way too technical for me, most here are. Mine is a 2GB, what is that model number? I'm pretty sure it's not an M6.
The songs I am referring to are ones purchased from iTunes. They are 'protected AAC audio files.' Koyote will convert these I believe.
When I get my player I will probably need some advice on the firmware it has and what I should put on it. Once I get it working, I'm not touching anything!
MBarry, don't know what your name is but you are a kind soul. Thanks for helping me, and in reading in this forum, so many others also.
