Ridiculous Canadian Border?
Alright im starting to get pretty mad.
I bought my miniplayer on jan 21st (sunday). It was shipped jan 23rd (tuesday). It arrived in canada on the 4th of february, which is what i expected because it usually takes a while from hong kong. It is now the 13th which is 9 days after it has arrived in canada and it has still not left the border or has been shipped! (according to my tracking key). Now after doing some research i have found that i need to pay 20-30 dollars EXTRA once the package arrives at my door because of taxes+shipping fees.
Can someone tell how the hell all of this makes sense. And why is my package STILL waiting at the border. do they think its a bomb or something!?!?!
(you can see what it shows me in my sig)

Received mine 2 weeks ago - took less than a week to get here - and no border charges. You got unlucky !

I hate that too... I have to wait usually between 10 to 15 working days to receive my players from China... And i also hate when those packages got stuck at dutties!
Internet has an answer for every question out there, not likely to be always the answer you're looking for.

Honestly, it could just be lost in a shipping depot. It's happened to me too. As for the tax, it'll only be GST if anything. I'm guessing that the shipper in Hong Kong didn't use UPS (piece of crap that that is, with their RIDICULOUS brokerage fees that they're getting sued for an a class action - just google it), so you shouldn't be paying any non-governmental fees.
If it doesn't reach you by the end of this week, I'd say just talk to the seller and/or Canada post to work it out.I'm out
