Did I make a mistake buying a Meizu Player?

I just ordered a Meizu M6 8 GB today and anticipate getting it in a few days. On a lark I came upon this Meizu forum and starting reading the threads. It appears that just about everyone is having serious operating problems of one kind or another. I have never seen so many frustrated people. I am wondering if I made a mistake buying this M6 and maybe I should just send it back when I get it, or will I find these kinds of problems with all of the big name media players also.
-Just wondering

Let me be the first to say hi and welcome you to these forums.
On your question why you see so many serious problems on these forums is because these forums are for people who need help with there not so frequent user errors. So i say that the m6 is a great player and you have made the right choice.

Welcome to Meizume! I guess I'll just go right ahead and answer your question. The Meizu M6 is a top tier player. It has a beautiful price tag and its sound quality is magnificent. It also comes with that special anti-mainstream aura . I don't think you will be disappointed. But If you do run into problems, there are always people willing to help you here.

Quinny... Thanks for the reply. I hope you are right but sure seems like there are a lot of new Meizu owners who are having problems right from the start. Kind of freaking me out.

i have had 2 meizu M6 players, for 1 and a half years and no problems at all, none whatsoever

as for big companies, yes, visit a forum dedicated to apple or creative and you will see the same thing. Most of the time its lack of knowledge, or more often, too much tinkering about that causes problems.

Meizu are a massive brand in china and also have quite a messive user base outside china too, so for the amount of M6 players out there to the number of problems here is tiny

i have had my latest M6 SL 8GB for 6 months now with not a glitch, i use it every day, the battery lastst an age, sound is superb, build is excellent, firmware could use a little tweaking, but so could all players

in short sometimes things go wrong and they come here for help, but this is not the norm at all, far from it

have no fear, you will not regret this player at all

Thanks to all for your comments. I feel much better now and am looking forward to getting my first M6. It appears that the less tweaking you do on your player the happier you will be in the long run.

i installed a skin the first few days i had it, and upgraded my firmware, but then i realised that the original(older) firmware updated the library faster, so i downgraded back to the original firmware and have been happy with it ever since (this was several months ago)

As long as you follow the directions carefully, nothing will go wrong. Most of the people here that have problems are less technologically oriented, and don't follow directions too well, such as downloading wrong software for their players. Only about 5% have real problems, such as the power button not fnctioning after they drop the player or something like that. As long as you take good care of it all will be well.
