I'm debating between the m3 or m6sl (looking at the 8GB versions of both). I can't decide which would be a better buy for me. The price difference between the two is neglible for me. I just want something that meets my needs/desires.
Currently, I have both a 30GB iPod Video and a 2GB iPod Nano. I'm selling both and want to simplify into 1 player.
Desired uses:
- Gym. I work out and run quite a bit so I'd like something compact for my arm with easy volume and track skipping access (so volume control and "next song").
- Casual listening. I like to listen to music when studying in quiet places (school library) as well as loud places (Starbucks).
- Best sound (I think both use the same sound chips, however you may know different)
- Long battery life. I hate charging daily.
NOTE: To date, I have never watched a video on my iPod.
EDIT: I've created a size comparison of the 3 (Nano 2nd gen vs m3 card vs m6sl) on sizedup.com. Here is the link: Sized Up: Nano vs Meizu M6 SL vs m3 card
Questions:
- Do either support on-the-go deleting of songs?
- Can I hook up my digital camera to the m6 and transfer photos via the extended battery pack?
Thanks in advance for your 2cents.Last edited by veejl; 02-28-2008 at 05:34 PM.

Thanked 1,024 Times in 375 PostsThe M6SL uses a better sound chip so it sounds much better.
You can delete songs from the player itself.
You can't use it as an OTG device (development has been cancelled a few months ago).
Battery life is like 20-30 hours for music.
I recommend you buy some in-ear-phones, because they both do good in quiet and loud places. However for running you should use the bundled ones, because you won't hear the traffic or anything else with the in-ear ones :DLast edited by nice2know_u; 02-29-2008 at 07:18 AM.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI found this information while researching with Google, is this still up to date? Wikipedia is saying the m3 version is newer than the m6

If the sound quality is better I would go for a m6 but otherwise I see no reason to go for one unless to use it for video (I hate watching video on a tiny screen so I wouldn't anyway) cos I use mp3 player the most in gym (outdoors, I like to be able to hear people)Last edited by deathkittengoesmew; 11-04-2009 at 05:41 AM.
