For the members of meizume and I guess for a lot of other people too Meizu's miniplayer is the reference of sound quality amongst all mp3 players.
So what can we expect from Meizu's first mobile phone in relation to the quality of calls disturbed by background noise?

    Russ' Predicted Answers :

    M8 miniOne:

    • When will M9 be released?
There is no release date ( or any news on the M9 ) at this time.
    • What was the reason not to include 3G in the initial release of M8?
I doubt that they will even answer this properly - but im sure it willbe along the lines of "when we first released the first spec of the M8 - early 2007 - 3G wasnt as much of a necessity as it it now)...

...Although i have a sneaking suspicision the the initial M8 will have 3G support ( during this delay IMHO they would of been foolish not to take this time to add as many upgrades to the M8 is they can...we will see)
    • (When) Can we expect a 3G version of the phone?
    See above ( if N/A then 2009)
    • Will MEIZU advise customers to use screen protectors?
    Yeah- i think they will
    • What will the sound quality be like compared to M6?
Superior to the M6 - upgraded 'chip'
    • Will there be support for A2DP? (If yes: How long will battery last using it?)
Yes - ( ED: ive no idea of battery times)
    • Will the M8 be an AVRCP-TG device? (controllable by a BT headset; includes track selection)
    Ummmmm -maybe
    • Will it support platforms like e.g. Java and Flash?
Java = Yes, Flash = No
    • Will it be officially distributed in (England) Europe? (If yes: When?)
(ED:This depends on who they 'meet' at CeBIT
    • How does the web browser work? (iPhone comparison)
pretty much the same way - although its an Opera based browser
    • What are the final prices for each model?
    $275 , $325 , $399
    • What will be the max. resolution for TV-out?
    1280x720
    • What will the battery time be? (standby; music; video; web)
    Standby 144 Hours
    Music 30 Hours
    Video 6 Hours
    Web 5 Hours
    • What accessories will be included with the phone?
    Case + Headphones + Dock
    • Will the phone be sold unlocked?
    Yes
    • Is there a FM radio feature?
    No (wish it did tho)
    • Does it offer Dual-SIM support?
    No (wish it did tho)
    • What audio- and video-codecs will be supported? (Video: At full resolution?)
    AVI (Xvid and H.264)
    • Will there be subtitles support for video playback?
    No
    • What about 3rd party apps? (user: install feature / developer: SDK)
    Same as windows 6.0

I did this pretty quickly so i might change a few things in the next few days - but im sure u get the idea )

    Regards

Yeah , I wish it had FM radio aswell , This is like a standard on MP3 players. Hmm Perhaps well start to see DAB radios in MP3 players later , That would be great!!

    Another small question:

Meizu M8 runs WinCE, which is completely different from Windows Mobile. What kind of compatibility does the M8 have with the vast majority of Mobile programs that are around?

I've read some sites but the overall comments are simply -> not much

I'll add those to the list later. Just for everyone to know: CeBIT is getting closer and we need to get the questions organised before that. If you want to ask something that's not covered until now please add it until wednesday 27th. You can still ask emergency questions related to news from CeBIT after that.

yes, i used to have an adapter like this for my old phone, i used it as mp3 player for some time, but in the end i got sick of the bad connectors and never listened music on it since.
if this does not have the standard connector i will 100% sure stick with my M6 until they release a version wich has the standard connector!
