    iriver w10?

honestly, im sick of meizu holding off on the m8. my m6 broke and i was thinking oh, no need to buy another mp3, i'll wait for the m8. and so i waited, and waited, and waited. thing is i don't wanna fork out money for another mp3 and then buy the m8 when it can be an mp3 and phone all in one. then i recently saw the iriver w10, actually from a forum on meizume. it looks really promising, and at this rate, i bet it'll come out before the m8, and if it does i'm ditching the m8. anyone seen it?

heres a video i found of it:

That looks like an excellent product. But I believe that the Meizu is better designed (cosmetically), and the Meizu is cheaper (I would believe so, iRiver makes quality products, but they aren't cheap). Also, I haven't heard anything of a 16GB W10. Also, does the W10 support SDHC? If it did, that would be a major plus.

I liked the new iriver flip thing better, it had a rotatable screen, forgot what it was called but was featured at CES and at dapreview.net. That looked very sexy!

Yeah. It seems a bit strange that Meizus just dies. I mean, mostly of the problems are fixable.

My M6 is slowly dying out as well. I've had it over 9 months now. The touchpad has been making a strange *clicking* sound when i move my finger downwards for the last 6 months. There also seems to be an irritating dust particle behind the screen as well, I can't really put how it went there as blowing into all the holes of the M6 doesn't have any effect.

But that isn't the main reason, my battery is slowly dying out. After watching like three 20 min southpark episodes the battery is back to a fourth.
Looks like I will have to find a replacement as well.....

Can't you just replace the battery? Or aren't there any yet? 3rd party ones?

Haven't seen a M6 spare battery for sale in nine months. I'm also not really waiting to open my player while having no idea how to replace and stick it back together.

So when this thing has no battery life left in a few months, I'll probably buy something else. Don't think the M8 will be out by then :P
Perhaps an Itouch, that thing looks pretty sweet.

no dude, its my fault hahaha. like i posted once in here about how my headphone jack is messed up. and people were like oh you need to solder it. but i had no one to help me so i opened it up and tried myself. nothingw orked. and soon i got made. and i just started like jabbing pieces in it. and then when i tried turning it on it didn't. hahaha. but oh well. it was screwed up anyways. like when i listened through a headphone, i would have to press on the jack.

oh and the w10 said it would have 2gb 4gb and 8gb. but theres also an sd slot. which i find to be an excellent idea. m8 should do it. also about price, they did say it would be more affordable then iphone. and iphone is 400... around same price i'm hearing for m8.

Are there any numbers on the battery? Maybe we can find a replacement for you. Also, while you're at it can you tell us the numbers on the back of the LCD? :-) Thanks (I think I aimed this post at the wrong person)

Whaha, the topicstarter is someone else than me you know? :D
He wanted to know more about the iriver thing.

Anyway, i'm not going to open my m6. Normally those things can't be opened for a reason. One might break something in the process :P, not really comforting.
