Hi guys
Just discovered the Meizu brand of players and tey look so sweet.
I need something to replace my broken Sony Minidisc MZ-RH10 - not a damn ipod though :D
I was thinking of buying this one...
http://www.expansys.com/p.aspx?i=141...open#technical
http://www.advancedmp3players.co.uk/...oducts_id=1984
But have a couple questions...
1) Does it support windows USB mass-storage?
Meaning it just pops up as a drive in My Computer so I can drag & drop music / photos / videos / other files?
2) Does it play .flac files?
Loads of my music is in FLAC and it would be nice to just drop it onto the player rather than transcoding to MP3.
3) The links above are for the miniplayer 4GB
What are the other models I've seen mentioned around here?
4) Are there firmware updates available for the version above? Are they reliable or is there a 50% chance my player will get borked?
On the front page of this site I saw some info on the Musicard. I guess that won't be around until mid-2007
Thanks
Ben

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI think Mediacoder supports transcoding an flv to avi file, so you can use it on your meizu. You can find more about this program in this thread:
Mediacoder (Great for Miniplayer)

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsThey sell 8 gig Meizu's as well. And the m3 is now available too.
http://en.meizu.com/ (there for more info)
These things are So reliable and cheap it blows my mind.
GET IT!
For video encoding, I use Iriverter. I believe somewhere on these forums is a post about iriverter with a link to a profile made specifically for meizus. That means: I turn on iriverter, load the profile (takes 2 clicks of the mouse) choose the file and press the convert button. TADAAA! If you want the profile for the meizu (cuz you can't find it or are lazy) email me at Lawrence2008075@ciss.com.cn. I'll send you the setup for the whole thing. But you're gonna have to download the iriverter program yourself!
