Is the hold switch on? If so, then switch it off then try to turn it on. Its a possibility thats the reason for the cause.

is the display also dead when the player is connected ? If so, perform the reset methods as descriped in the FAQ/Help of this forum (use the link in the menu at the top). Chances are good you can revive your player since it still partially reacts to usb plugging as it should.

Hi this is CD2U Customer Support. I hope we can help you.... Please help us by answering a couple of questions below:
- What model is your player - is it an OEM or Dane-Elec??? If it is Dane-Elec you may wish to try and contact them directly (if you can)
- Who did you purchase it from???
- Does the seller offer any Customer technical support???
- Do they process the warranty for you????
Take care - CD2U Customer Support Team

If it says dane-elec on the back, then it is dane-elec. If it only says Meizu, then it is OEM.
If you are having trouble with your player, please visit this thread first and try the steps before you panic. Most likely you will be able to fix your player easily using the steps listed.
