    M6 for Jogging

    Hi everyone,

    What a great forum!
I have almost decided to buy a M6.
But I was wondering: How is it for jogging?

Jogging is the main reason I want to get this mp3 player, as my present one is broken. From the specifications it would appear light and slim enough. But how is the touchpad when you are not stationary? I.e. can you skip to the next track or adjust the volume. And if any of you use it for jogging, how do you wear it?

I'm not looking for the best jogging mp3 player in the world, as I also want to use it normally and think Sound Quality, batterylife, ums and a standard mini usb are important too. So just wondering if it is adequate for jogging (ie. operate basic function volume skip track without having to stop running).

Hope it works for jogging too, as for the rest it sound like a great player.

It's great for all outdoor activities, including jogging. I use mine on runs everyday, and like most flash based players, it can hold up to the jarring that running presents.

The controls are easy to use, even when your moving, provided that you don't want to do something too fine that requires actually sliding the touchpad. Skipping to the next track for instance is a click of the forward button. And yes, the touchpad does incorporate clickable buttons, menu, forward, back, and enter are actual buttons, so using those controls is easy.

To use it while running, you have two options, 1. Silicone Case and 2. Crystal Case. Both of these, when combined with the belt clip and/or armband, allow it to be worn. Which one you choose is a matter of personal preference. I use a Crystal Case just for the added screen protection, though my son uses a silicone for all of his activities, and both work fine.

I havnt used my M6 for jogging yet, as I still have a Shuffle, but I would imagine it would be a lot easier to use playlists for your jog just so you wont have to skip through tracks. It should be ok for the odd time you wanna skip to the next song though.

It would not be very good for whilst-jogging-trying-to-control-mp3 though. You have stop, pant, breathe, adjust, and then keep running.

Touch pad activate only with finger/skin touchs. Maybe hardly when you touch it over clothes with your finger while it is in your pocket if your clothes are thin enough.
