    miniPlayer TP still in production?

    Good morning.

As the title suggests could any confirm whether Meizu are still producing the TP version? I have heard that they are still doing so but only in white.

    Many thanks in advance

No, all production is based on Samsung screens now. no more TP (lucky all of us with one :D)

    glacier and marcelo1251,

many thanks for your responses on this one. A friend is in China and he says he has seen a white TP, or so he thinks it was, available. As my girlfriend wants one for Christmas do you think it is worth getting over the SP?

Well, you can get it but, better improvements are done over SPs... i mean the rebranded miniplayers such as the emgeton or dane-elec are SP and their firmware is kinda better (at least emgetons supports more than 3 different languages at the same time) because they ask meizu for it.

Dont worry, meizu said they'll keep developing for TPs too for a while.

So, it's pretty much up to you and your bugdet :D

I think I will ask him to double-check and if it is indeed a TP I will probable buy it. I am very happy with my own black TP and as I have heard that the sound and the screen are slightly better, I guess it is worth the extra money.

p.s not that my girlfriend will appreciate the difference but that's a whole different story

Well, there's no different in sound between TP and SP.

Also if you want a white TP and you cannot get it from your friend in China, get it from miniplayer.info, pete still has some of them in stock.

i'm personally happy with my TP so i'd recommend it. of course, i have no way of knowing if there really are any differences between the TP and SP in terms of sound quality. but the general opinion seems to be that there are no significant differences, except for the screen brightness.

if you really have your heart set on a white TP, then go ahead and get it.

If there were no more TP's around, that would mean that us owners would have a 'special edition miniplayer' or a ' Unique miniplayer' becouse no one else would have em!!

lol! now there's a classic "the glass is either half-full or half-empty"

it all really depends on how you look at it. personally, since i already have the TP and am happy with it, i'd like to think that it's a limited edition collector's item. :D

I think same way as you glacier, it is not obsolete eriktous since Meizu said they're gonna keep working on firmware updates for the TP for a while.

Lucky those who got a TI (limited release version..), it is indeed a TP but with some conmemorative info engraved on the back:

that's good to hear. although i've lived with other gadgets that didn't have any firmware updates so any new update for my TP is a big plus.

wow, wha's engraved at the back? looks like a seal of some sort. wish i had gotten my hands on one of those but i'm lucky to have an m6 as it is. good thing my sis works in china so i had her buy it for me. (of course, i have to pay her back )
