    Meizume blocked in China?

Greetings all, I've been unable to connect for several days through my normal connections (China Telecom DSL at home or 3G card with laptop). Presently I am connected through my company's portal at work. Any other users experiencing this problem?

what happens if you enter the following command in a dos prompt?
    Code:
    ping www.meizume.com
Does it translate to the host ip? (199.27.135.100)

    Thanks for your suggestion.

It looks like it does translate to the proper IP but I get timeout messages; I think it attempts to send 4 data packets. All are reported lost.

As another test, I pinged youtube, a well known blocked site here. This appears to get a normal reply.

As a final test, I pinged facebook. This reports "destination unreachable" and drops 3 of the 4 test packets.

These tests were made using the 3G card.
Not sure how to interpret this or what else to try. Further suggestions are welcome, thanks.

okaj, if the default 4 packages provide you with a loss on the line it can mean anything. (for instance you might have a degraded signal to the provider, you are using a faulty cable, there is loss in transit,...)

what happens if you try a traceroute?
    for windows :
    Code:
    tracert www.meizume.com
    for *nix :
    Code:
    traceroute www.meizume.com
I´d say past the results here.
What you´ll get is the path your data follows while accesing meizume.com webserver. This might indicate at what server/location the error occures.

i just did a reverse dns to view the other websites hosted in the same IP, and i can only access 2 out of 10 :
    w w w.ip-adress.com/reverse_ip/meizume.com

It seems there is a problem with the server. Maybe the owner can ask godaddy to migrate the account to another server ?

I had similar problems in the past with meizume, there was a huge loss on the route to the webserver from meizume & I informed error about it.
Few days later it was solved, not sure if error did something on it.

ok, I would contact your ISP and provide them with this information.
If i try to acces this server I get an average respond of about 300 ms.
This is very high. When following it with a traceroute & checking Ripe it seems to be some backbone from Chinatelecom that has issue's.

However I also notice that the IP isn't assigned to a user/company, maybe this is the mighty Chinese firewall..

@bai jiu you might chec it with a tracert too, if it blocks on the same ip ...

It blocks on a different IP for me :

    202.97.33.118 reports: Destination host unreachable.

Indeed, the IP is different, but it is also part of China Telecom their backbone.
    doing a lookup i get this :
    Taoyuan Xian Beihou 202.97.33.118
    Taoyuan Xian Beihou 202.97.35.154

So I am sure they are related to eachother.

Best thing you guys can do is contact them, explain the problem & provide them with the trace routes / ping examples to solve it asap.

I'll try changing some settings. Hopefully, it will once again grant our users in China access.

Edit: Please try again in 24 hours and report back (users in China).
Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!
