Songbird Media Player Review

In the process of looking for the holy grail of Media Managers I stumbled upon Songbird. Songbird is a Media Player app, OSS, and uses Firefox. In a nutshell, I'm kinda dizzy. But i wanted to write about it.

Downloading the USB Player Add-On will give you access to your M6. But the application itself is still to green for primetime. The M6 is recognized, and you can transfer files to it. However there's still room for improvement here.

Overall, I think Songbird is trying really hard to be a lot of things at the same time. I'm all for Free (as in Speech) software. All I'm looking for is for a Media Manager kit that will download my podcasts, randomize my music playlists and sync with my M6.

I'd like to bump this thread. Songbird is now final and it works great. It looks like iTunes, but with more features. I'm still discovering new features and I'm positive this will be gain more users. Here is a screenshot :

This pic is old. Songbird team released a stable 1.0 version two weeks ago which works really fast and looks better than this.
