    Support for Jack Wong

Meizu CEO Jack has been feeling a bit down lately due to dealings with Apple. He mentioned that he needed all the support that he could get, so I thought -- why don't we all write something supportive and then send it to him. I heard he can read English...

    I'll start

    Jack,

I've admired Meizu products ever since 2006, when I first lay hands on a M6. It cost as much as a M8 RE does today, but it was still worth it. Unlike all other Chinese MP3 players at that time, it was pretty, compact and had amazing sound. 2006 was also the year I started Meizu Me, to see if there are people around the world who like me, enjoyed Meizu products.

It's been more than 4 years, and we've moved past 40,000 members. Looking back, it has truly been amazing to connect with so many people around the world passionate about the same thing. I never anticipated we would be so many. Clearly, you must've done something right.

I'm also an Apple fan, but know that they can be a bully sometimes. So don't back down now and disappoint your 40,000 international supporters. We are all looking forward to the M9, so hurry up and bring it! Here's to 4 more years!!
Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

It was 3 or 4 years ago when I was looking for a decent MP3 player and I stumbled into a hungarian review of the Meizu M6. It was so positive I knew I found the right product for me (it was also very cheap). Fell in love with the design at first sight too!
Didn't regret my choice ever since... I just love the fact all Meizu products can be customized the way I like it and because of this I never get bored of them. I also like the fact Meizu is very fan-oriented and you listen to their advices and also ask for their opinion. Not many companies can say this...
So when the M8 was released there was no question in my mind whether I want one or not

I'm looking forward to future Meizu products and wish you a great success! Hopefully M9 would be released soon and you can finally have some rest!
Keep up the great work you're doing!

    Jack,
I don't really know what to say. I was fallen in love with the M9 in mid-2009. I bought it when the M8SE was out for about 1-2 months. You had at that moment the best hardware in your hands. I might not be easy but I would say: don't stress out and rather wait until those stupid Apple-heads (lol) shut their mouths. How could they cry about a screen resolution? Is it also not allowed to have an HD television? I know my talking may not help very much, but you must stay strong and don't let those stupid Apple-heads get what they want.

Great words in this thread. I'd like to emphasize everything that has been said and want to add:

I love Meizu because you're humans, not another gearwheel in the big machinery of making money and selling overpriced products.

    J. Wong,
I'm not a Meizu owner, but from the first moment that I saw the M8 I knew I wanted it. I searched a lot about it and found the meizume forum. In this forum I learned about the new M9 and I decided to wait for it's release. This phone has everything to be a great phone. The hardware, the design, the OS (and custom UI), they are all great. There's no way that Apple can argue. Every touch screen phone that I know has the same basic design, they can't stop any company from making a phone with a big resolution screen. It's like Intel trying to sue AMD for making an six core processor.
I want an Meizu phone. I want the M9 phone, and I know that A LOT of people from meizume(and that means from worldwide) want it too. It's going to be my first smartphone and I'm very glad to have found your company.
Your phone is a great project. So now, let it be a great product in ours hands.

Hope the best for you and all Meizu.

haha, great. I am so happy that you guys love Meizu and JW.
In my opinon, Meizu is the only Chinese company which design the product with its heart. A guy can hang on the internet to listen to customers' advice and argue with them, oh god, how can you imagine that guy is the CEO....

    Hello

It seems to me correct to demonstrate the samples of support to the CEO of Meizu, but to clarify that it is a company as all.

Meizu has listened to the community to improve his products but it has left behind other products as the M6 (2004.6,2008) that has killed many Meizu's M6 and the worst thing is that it did not give any solution from 2008.

It is logical that in 2008 centred on the M8, it could have liberated the code of the M6 and M3 so that the community had supported it without problems, but it did not do it.

On the patent of the M8 and future M9 it does not affect anything to the Chinese market but to the international market, since the M8 is similar to the iPhone and the M9 looks alike to a Samsung Galaxy S, it is possible that it takes problems as his aspect, this could been have saved his Meizu if it had extracted the original concept and these problems had saved itself but it was necessary to have an aspect just as the iPhone.

I to the CEO give him my support.

--- Sorry for my English ---

    Hola

Id like to add +1 to all the words in this thread.

I bought the m8 because of the design and specs choices, because you have all the style of a large manufacturer, but with a definite human side. You have cultivated an amazing community around your devices and you really stuck it to the big american apple.

Keep doing what you do JW and meizu, you rock!

very supportive words here, which definetely meet my thoughts too.

In 2007 I was looking for a decent MP3 player. The first condition was: NO APPLE Ipod! I hate to be itunes-circumsized in my abilities to use an mp3 player as a mass storage device. So I found meizume and read a couple of reviews. I got myself the M6 SL in the beginning of 2008, after finding meizume and reading detailed reviews. I was really impressed how well made the device was and how high quality the sound still is.
As I heard of a mobile phone made of meizu, I knew I will buy it. So I got myself the M8 in the end of 2009. Never regreted it so far.
And now time comes the second phone will be released soon. I can't wait and keep my fingers crossed that it will come out asap and is relyable, meeting the specs and is worth the money. But I have no doubts about that.

So Jack, keep up the good work
    wishes you iceman from germany

When I looked for a MP3 player I was looking for something simple. That time I saw Meizu M6 and M3 on Ukrainian market for the first time... hell, I felt in love with it. Everyone around where saying that "Chinese stuff sucks" etc. and when they saw it it was like "what the hell is that? I would rather buy something like that, than my _iRiver_"(!!!). They were shocked ^_^. It was liked 3 years ago or so... And I walk with it everyday

My groupmate bought old iPod nano for cheap, and in 2 months said something like: "that is a peace of junk... I know you told me"

It's a pity thing that I didn't lay my hands on M8 T.T Really wanted that one, but there was no way to buy it...
Hope Meizu is gonna make it soon with M9, so...

Mr. Wong, I have faith in you!
Good luck and thank you for your hard work!

Hard to apply something here already.
Well...why is this forum still so active?
Jack, you still impress people with great products for an affordable price and M9 looks to be no exception. I'm sure first of all the Chinese people really appreciate that and why such as Apple won't going to succeed so well in China to the rest of the world. People simply won't be able to pay them. This is here where I see you could get the most upper hand.
I do hear good things of Apple but as ErrOr said here, they can also be a bully. In that when I hear that they want to claim rights of a specific screen size (which I find totally ridiculous) I begin feeling they have gone too far.

Also I read that Android is said to have great potential and Meizu seem to be very wide in China.
Apple? None of their products meet my needs. Your products do!! and that's why you have my support!

    Dear Jack Wong,

first of all I'm a christian - believing in the living and loving GOD. The way I found Meizu is unique. 2007 I was looking for a new mp3-Player, because the memory of my old player was to small. I was looking around the internet for a new device. Somebody encouraged me to ask god. I did on an evening. In that night I dreamed a picture of your white Meizu (generally I remeber almost none dream). Well, that time I didn't knew Meizu. I thought it was something like a Zune player I saw the day before. But when I saw the picture again and thought "no it's the wrong one". Then after a short time I found it: The white Meizu M6. I like the black version more, but anyway, with a black picture of the Meizu I would'nt have found Meizu.

I love to see your company rise. It just show, that they fear you. You are strong now. I'm looking foreward to teh m9. It will be my first phone (well I had one sony eric. for a week, before I gave it to my sister, because her phone was broken- I was not addicted to it). But I guess the m9 will not leave my hand that fast. You are on a good way.

I'll pray for you, if you appreciat it or not. I know that prayers rock!!!

    Look foreward,
    kruemel from Germany

Meizu is a very awesome company , the products they made either MP3 or Meizu M8/M9, all much better than other China products, especially the M9, I think that is very useful for me, I like it the same as iPhone, while more important is , I can accept it better.
But I hope Jack Wong can sell M9 perfectly asap

Soon after getting in China for work in 2008, I was looking for a new affordable phone to replace my faulty Nokia. I have used many brands before but none had really satisfied my needs. Although the M8 was still in the design concept I was attracted to its flexibility and good specs. I am still proud to be the owner of an M8FE despite the tribulations of going through all the FW upgrades. I really enjoy the culture that seem to prevail at Meizu and take great pride in pointing out that it's a Chinese product to my friends. Well done and keep it up!
