Someone has leaked photos of the upcoming Meizu MX2's (not the official name) front panel on the company's official forums today. While we can see the screen border is already very narrow, one of their forum admins commented that this one is still just an earlier prototype and the actual device will have an even thinner frame. Previously there were rumours the phone would come without a physical home button but on these photos you can clearly see a circular shape in the middle just below the screen. It might be a touch sensitive button though because it doesn't seem to protrude like on the current Meizu MX.

UPDATE: Find new photos in post #14! Thanks for the tip waja2000!

If the first pic is the frontside, then they rearranged the earpiece/camera/sensor array at the top.
Bottom buttons look awfully generic. 4 dots + a circle? Hard to believe they will throw away the rotating light keys after getting a patent on them. Keeping those plus a glowing circle in the middle would look pretty cool, though.
Even thinner? Awesome engineering, but do you actually want the screen mounted that close to edge of the frame? Seems a bit risky.

Thanked 40 Times in 25 Postsactually i'd like them to do a vanilla nad a customized version too. if i want the stock system, let me have it please, with the updates and everything on time. if they want to customize it and believe they can make user experience better, well, be my guests, but as of now, i feel that the experience is not all that much better, while the modifications brought a bunch of bugs.

Thanked 51 Times in 37 Postsdefinitely right! By the way, that is the way Google wants to have in the first place. They want to affect more manufacturers to use stock android, like they do with their nexus devices. At the moment there are rumors that the next nexus will come from LG this year, and besides LG there are others in discussion who will bring out a google corporative nexus phone and have stock Android.
I guess the picture shows the back of the display glass. i shining circle would be great, skipping the 5 dot rotating design would be completely nonsense. Although keeping the physical home button would be awesome. Hopefully the power button will slide to the side for better one hand handling (when having a >4" screen).
I don't know if keeping the 2:3 screen ration is the best way to do. I hoped for a 14:9 or even 16:9 screen.MX-HK, M9, M8, M6SL

The rumored screen is 16:10, probably the best compromise between the outmoded 3:2 and the ridiculously elongated 16:9.
