Thanked 1,140 Times in 438 PostsRelease of Flyme OS 1.0 and Meizu MX Quad-core has been delayed until at least July

Altough it was promised to be coming in June J. Wong confirmed yesterday what we have kind of expected these last few days. The new Flyme 1.0 OS along with the quad-core version of the Meizu MX has both been delayed until at least July because the software is not fully ready. Fans on the company's BBS already started mocking Flyme "Playme". When one of them asked JW whether they are releasing it by July 15th he promptly said "It's not sure, we will release it as soon as possible" and that"Engineers have a lot to do, they work overtime every day...".
It also seems JW was the one who designed the icons in the bottom bar (check out our gallery of screenshots of a leaked version here) which a lot of people find ugly. He commented on that "Ugly or not ugly, that depends on one's view... I hope you'll get used to it in time" - we still hope for a redesign!

Damn! This sucks! Was hoping for a few months with ICS before deciding about a new phone. I will, now, almost certainly be jumping ship to a BB 10 OS device whenever they're released... Assuming that they don't fuck up anything major about the new hardware.
Android fragmentation has just gotten a bit crazy post the ICS launch. And I'm not sure if i trust Google's intentions with the platform. I don't like the data mining that has to be going on in order to facilitate the free ad-supported apps..

Thanked 40 Times in 25 Postsseriously, this delay is getting annoying. at least they would push out some vanilla ICS, which is usable...
the most ridiculous thing would be if the new iphone comes out with a bigger and/or better resolution screen, and they started redoing the MX quad according to that, and delayed it even more. if such a thing happens, i'll be saying goodby to Meizu when i upgrade my phone next time, and go with a Nexus model略懂

Thanked 1 Time in 1 PostNo.... I wanted this phone soooo bad....

Now I wait or I look for a new phone.... But nothing comes close to the Meizu Spec's and the price point....
I had already kept aside the deposit money for the pre order of this phone...
I am disappointed a little bit but I still have hopes it will be the best in the market when it come out.... Hopefully.
And it hope it comes out in the 1st week of July....

There will always be new powerful phones out. A month after doesnt suck that much, i doubt anything would match price-wise in a month. I got my MX Dual in february, a month after release.
What sucks more for me, is the update not coming out.

That's enought, i wont buy anything from meizu anymore. This company never learn from hers mistake, its the same since the past 4 years, they never released a stable firmware or released products on time. Ill now buy Xiaomi or Huawei. Good luck Meizu.

My wife have a mi-1, it is far to be a crap (just because of Miui, it kills every device from Meizu)... And i wait for the Mi-2, which im sure will be released on time.
I just feel boring of unstable firmwares and broken promises.
Edit: I dont want to pollute this topic talking about Xiaomi so i answer here. The mi-1 is absolutely not laggy and is very intuitive, why Miui became so famous so fast if it is not?... You are obviously a big Meizu-fan and it seems hard to debate so i stop here.Last edited by tomsdev; 06-08-2012 at 09:35 AM.

Thanked 8 Times in 7 PostsI have HTC Sensation and using MIUI, if there would be Flyme OS I would use it, but...MIUI is very intuitive and smooth, I love it, weekly updates, nice UI, only thing I miss or I do not know how to set it up is add contact to numbers at dialer. I want to buy MX-Q, MI-1 does not look so good at all, but it is useful for sure.

Thanked 51 Times in 37 Postsand again and again and again. I'm tired of that!
At least the MX dualcore is available very cheap RE edition! I wouldn't go for the QC just because of the CPU and Storage.
delaid ICS does not diturb me, I like Gingerbread and it's stable. What more can I want?!MX-HK, M9, M8, M6SL

Thanked 1 Time in 1 PostMeizu quality is good? Not Form me... My m8 s touch Screenshot digitizer US defective. I am happy with Huawei now. Meithe made imho the biggest possible mistake, when they decided to build in that crappy speakers In their New phones. It was the awesome Sound, that was unique to Meizu phones.
