Sort albums by date

I added a set of albums to the Meizu from a folder. These albums were contained in the same root folder but had their own separate folders. Each folder was labelled chronologically.

When this root folder was placed in Meizu, the albums under the artist name appeared alphabetically and not chronologically. Is there any way to prevent this?

The Meizu M6 sorts by ID3-tags and not file or folder names.

I tagged them ID3 through foobar and easyTAG. They are tagged properly by date. The problem is the list of albums is sorted alphabetically and not by date.

The M8 will not sort additional tags, other than Artist, Album, and Song.

i would think that alphabetically wold actually be more helpful than chronologically, but what do i know?

It can't sort by date, sorry. I haven't seen a player that does.
