New Firmware 2004.7

Does the new firmware play oga files? Means the new name of the ogg audio format formaly known as ogg? It can play them after simply renaming them tough.

You only need ask once.

a simple "yes" or "no" would do it. If anybody knows.

What I know, only for SL this time.

yeah i saw that. even the meizu.com site is chaged and there is no SP support any more just SL.

oh and the site is all chinese now, i helped myself with google tranalate.

Should I install the new "M6SL.ebn" file too?

Yes, copy both Resource.bin and M6SL.ebn to the root of your M6SL player's drive.

Then power off and then power on to update with the new firmware.

You can check that the new firmware is installed by pressing the M button and selecting Settings then About from the Main Menu.

I was expecting some new firmware for my SP to be honest. And it's gonna be at least a year until I buy the M8, I don't want to be a beta tester

I think they deleted Box Man because nobody was playing it since it was so hard.

It seems to me like they also tweaked the DSP a little, with the same EQ settings the amp used to max out at volume 35 (34 on some songs) in 2004.6 and previous versions, now it goes up to 36 without distortion. So i can turn the bass up a couple more notches without having to turn the volume down from 35.

Also my Miniplayer no longer crashes if i cancel the music library update right after it begins.
