Now I have tested 'all' three letters 'åäö', and I've got no problems.

'T.N.T..jpg' worked fine, and also 'Vi Vet Inte Vart Vi Ska....jpg'.

Edit: My second line isn't connected to the first. I know that 'åäö' isn't in any of those names. It just answers an old problem that I had.

After finally figuring out how this album art malarkey works, I came across the album name "Soul Sister: The Classic Aretha Franklin" and since you cannot use colons in file names, I guess it will never work for this album or any other with a colon in.

Can't you just rename the id3-tag?

Just name the folders 'Aretha' and 'Soul' that the music's in and call the art SoulAretha.jpg' Doesnt matter what the albums actually called.

This isn't really a good way too do it if you have a large collection of albums, since the m6 only can handle 256 (?) folders.

Of course, you can always change album-name in the id3-tag, but we shouldn't need to really. How hard can it be to make the player recognise for example 'Soul Sister_ The Classic Aretha Franklin'.jpg" as the picture. Replace all 'illegal' characters with '_' ...
But then you might have a problem if you ever have an album with only illegal sings, or a lot, if they do exist...

album name...for eg. "Still Fantasy"....this is entered into the song's id3 tag. The filename of the song doesn't matter.

Filename of the pic is "Still Fantasy.jpg"

The location of the pic and song is together under the MUSIC folder. Can be within the MUSIC folder or in a sub-directory also works fine. Of course if a lyric file is present the picture doesn't appears. Not the best way for album art, but it'll do for now.

Oh yes....i resized the image to 200x200 as done by those above.

No need for any "Album" / "Albums" folder. Just put a certain album's song into its' own folder, under the MUSIC folder, edit the id3 tag (or pic filename) to match, and voila! instant gratification.
Works great for me aswell.. thanks

Album art is the same in 2002.1 as in the 2001.1 release.
    Current Rigs:
    8GB iAudio 7 > Not in use
    4GB + 32GB iAudio D2 > Alessandro MS-Pro
Sony MZ-NH1 > Headroom Total Bithead > Grado Labs PS-1
    2GB Meizu M6 T1 > Not in use
    8GB iPod Touch 2G > Shure SE530

    FW: 2.002.3
    Ver: SP

I have been looking into this and trying to find a way to stream line the process in linux. Seems that i might have to take this over to the linux forums for AmaroK.

In windows i have managed to sync the mp3s and successfully get some album art.

Apparently it seems that the art that doesn't work is due to punctuation in the songs. Lets say from artist "Mobb Deep" album "The Infamous (Explicit Advisory)"

I can't get that album cover. I have read every post in this particular thread and have yet to try them.

I basically wish there was aprogram that can rename my AlbumArt.jpg into the proper name.. I will probably create a shell script to do so when i learn how to

Here is another method i just found.

    http://louhi.kempele.fi/~skyostil/projects/albumart/

I managed to quickly get my album art for my rips and save it in the [album][artist].jpg format. Instant Album art.

Available for linux and win32 environments.

I'm not sure if this works as my miniplayer hasn't arrived yet but if you have the dBpoweramp program you can just right click on the mp3 and click on edit id tags. Ther is a link at the botom to add album art. If the album art is on the player, will it show it on the meizu?

Nope, it won't work that way, I tried that about a thousand times.

But, on the other hand, sephiroth8748's method works just fine with Firmware version 2.003. :D
