    Greetings:

HprAtvFrK: first of all, you should know what is "IDtags". (it's quite different from filename!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), search in google. You can put IDtags correctly with many softwares. (I use mp3tag) . You have to look at the tags, not the filenames.

    -------------------------------------------

For all:I can confirm that you must put the same jpg filename as your album tag with the same spaces, etc, but is not necessary the same Capital letters

Well i can deeply recommend the programme "Album Cover Art Downloader".

    http://kempele.fi/~skyostil/projects/albumart/

Here you can make the programme write a .jpg out of the ID3 Tag's Artist, while it, on the other hand, writes a file called folder.jpg to be viewed by the usual windows explorer. You can easily do this for all of your albums, you can even select the source (amazon.de, .uk, .com etc.), although the final searching and writing may last some hours. I have used it for about 5 hours to get all my albums covered right (for 655 Albums..I counted the final amount of folder.jpg in my MP3 folder).

Just a hint, but it's useful.

    cheers.

I think I found a bug. I have an album by Garbage, called "Version 2.0", but the jpg (Version 2.0Garbage.jpg) won't show. Perhaps it is because of the "." in the album name. Anyone else with this?

Why, thank you for those who helped, even though it still doesn't work.

For those who said I have a problem, read back and see if I was actually a person who doesn't deserve assistance. Secondly, I am relaxed. I was exaggerating in my first post. You people are too sensitive.

To my surprise I found that album-art worked perfectly even with swedish characters 'åäö'.

Still don't know how I should make my "T.N.T." album with "AC/DC" work. A lot of illegal characters, both in artist and album.

Genius... Yes, that worked. I renamed it to Version 2.0.jpg and it got recognized. Excellent!

I'd try T.N.jpg. Would be weird, but that would make sense, looking at my Version 2.0.jpg

    What about OGG Files support?

It seems that Album Art doesn't work with OGG files... cause I checked with a couple of albums, in both MP3 and OGG, with and without special caracters (like the French accents, or even Chinese), and I think the album art simply skip any files other than MP3 files...

Do you know any method to make it work with OGG files too?

    Thanks !

Well, I do have it working with OGG, no problem at all.

Btw, I can't get "Love. Angel. Music. Baby" album art to work. Also tried "Love. Angel.jpg" and "Love. .jpg" but no dice. Actually, album art with ä didn't work for me, odd enough.

Strange. I only tried with å but figured that all of them would work, have to check that later.

Very long Album names/tags or filenames for jpg causes problems and wont display album art, shortening the names allows it to work OK,

Guessing it doesn't like more than 64 characters in filename or tag

maybe this is why some people cant get it to work even though they are using correct names/folders/tags

Try filename with no "." in name as it may ignore what goes after the first "."

I think I figured it out for those that are having problems. The folder that your music is in needs the Artist and the Album for kenny's way to work. (Example: artist = Tool, album = Undertow The folder that music goes in is named "Tool - Undertow" without the apostrophes. Album pic is name of the album = Undertow.) If I take "Tool" out of the folder name the album pic doesn't work for me. Hope this helps someone.

Actually, I had a similar album before, as you can see in one of my previous post. It was Version 2.0 by Garbage. I had to change the filename to "Version 2.0.jpg" So, it doesn't ignore what comes after the first ".". I can't think of a scheme that will work with the one I'm having problems with, though.

There are, appearantly, several ways to do it. The one I use is:

    MUSIC/Garbage/Beautiful Garbage/
    Albums/Beautiful GarbageGarbage.jpg

    so that's:

    MUSIC/artist/album
    Albums/albumartist.jpg

At least we're getting the different methods sorted out now.

Thanks sephiroth8748! Anyway, I'm using the same method as parena since the start and it's been working. Too lazy to try kenny's method again =X.
