I wanted to have a working Czech firmware for my player immediately. So I made a CE character table for Andrew Smolko's font patcher. It is in the attachment.
Czech menus are in progress, but I have verified that the E-book feature now displays the correct characters!

The Czech resource for version S 2.000.1 is ready!
While the mentioned text file lets any Central European read the texts properly, this resource file is good for the Czech people only.
But it changes Chinese to English, so it can help you if you are stuck in unreadable menus.Last edited by Zdenek; 02-11-2007 at 04:53 PM.

I cannot fix the letters ť and Ť, sorry. Byte 9D seems to be reserved.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsHi Zdenek, that's really sweet of you for doing that, i couldn't do it myself, Vista does not look compatible with Andrew Smolko's font patcher, or maybe i don't use the right console program.
Would it be possible for you to add french caracters for the last firmware S 2.001.1 ?
They look like these " é è ê à â ç ü ù ", i know that Emgeton's central europe firmware used to include them, maybe it could help !
Thank you very much, best regards.Last edited by Dragibus; 02-14-2007 at 02:16 PM.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsYou are doing it wrong. Do as the program tells you from top to bottom. First create ansi.txt with the first button. Then resave it with Notepad as Unicode into uni.txt. Here, the language properties of the system go through Notepad to the new file. Then press the second button and the program converts the uni.txt into table.txt, which is what you supply into the m6 font patcher.
All files are in c:\.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsBelow is a screenshot. Follow the red arrow and select the Unicode thing, but not the Big endian one. And seeing what a beginner you are, don't mess with your firmware anyway.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsOh no... The English slot (#3) only gets patched. If you replaced the first column with French, it's wrong! You must fill your language in the THIRD column instead of English! I recommend that you start with my modded resource.bin, which has English copied to the first column.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsYou're right, french is the first language but i don't wanna change because it won't be the defaut language anymore and there are so many modifcations i made (language and pictures), is there any way to make it work with the first slot ?

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI'm thinking, what is the connection between the languages slots and the specials caracters of txt files and music's tags ?
Because in my menu, special caracters are working great, i'm talking about the mp3 tags, maybe we don't mean the same thing
