WMP 11 and Album Art

Using the new firmware, I tried switching the M6 into MTP mode and using Windows Media Player 11 to sync, and something strange happened.

1. Album art now shows, but only on some albums even though I have album art on all of them in WMP. There are no hidden files with images either, this means album art was "injected" into the MP3-files.

2. Folders now work. WMP organizes everything into folders, and it works. Folders did not work for me in MSC mode.

I really enjoy Album Art, and hope someone could figure out this mystery.

I've tried using bigger images and it works (MSC mode)... I think the size is not the problem!

Same for me, some albums have art, others don't. Not sure what the problem is.

MTP is not steadily,USB mode is easy to use.f
irst, use TTPLAYER to edit song's id3,fix the album name, make all song's album name to same,(can in beach?批量),second, find a image(JPG),copy to the fold of the album, and rename as album name, and Album image can be shown .

After having lots of trouble with album art, I thought I'd give MTP a go via Media Player 11. However, I am having just as much trouble with it. Media Player freezes on syncing, which appears to be random, although the files it does manage to sync show album art, so that's a good in a way! I have tried using J River Media Center too, but that can't even format the device and syncing results in errors for all files. I'm getting to the point where I might just go back to MSC mode and drag and drop and forget about album art!

Happens to me too...

MTP Mode hangs my WMP. Whatever and whenever it synchronizes it does syncs album art without any further action (schweet!)

I also noticed that WMP creates a .PLA (?) file in the player's Playlist directory. I wonder if this is a temp file that would end up as a .m3u?

I'm back on MSC mode until further notice. I made WMP re-scan the music database, just in case.

It seems to me that MTP is a little bit half cooked in firmware 2.001.1.

Any others out there with the same problems?

UPDATE: I noticed something odd. This is the way I've set up my sync with WMP: I have a normal Playlist in which I place my podcasts (not all of them show up on a smart playlist). Then I have a Smart Music Mix playlist (Random Items, up to 1.8GB of disk usage). I cancelled a sync, switched the M6 to MSC mode and synced again. No problems. Remember that .pla file I mentioned earlier? There were two songs there, and only two.

I wonder then, could this behavior be related to the way MTP mode in the player interacts with Playlists in WMP?

I'll make a simple experiment, but not today. (tired). I'll set up two normal playlists (not smart) to sync to the M6 in MTP mode. I'll transfer whatever is in the lists into the player. I have a hunch.

Curse my geekness...

No dice. WMP stops synchronizing with the player at 10% then stops. WMP itself doesn't hang.

I don't think that the problem is with WMP (for once). I'm sure there's something in the firmware itself.

Anyone else has tried something new lately? I've been off the forums because of OpenDNS.
