M6 Firmware V2.000

Be careful. If you own a SP player, use S2.000.1, if you own a TP player, use T2.000.1. Using the wrong firmware can damage your player.

This update involves formatting, a process during which you will lose all files.

Changelog:

1. Display of moving EQ. To see it, tap the center of the touch strip 3 times while in "Now Playing" mode.
2. Video broadcast up to three hours now supported. Up from the previous - a little more than one hour.
3. Support for both MTP and MSC. MTP is for those seeking to use DRM protected music.
4. MP3 decoder optimized to save power. Battery time increase.
5. Album art. To use, you must have a JPEG graphic inside the same folder with the same name as the song. New info on album art here.
6. Main interface modified. Basically, the interface has been re-skinned.
7. Support for lossless WMA added.

Note: When you get a green screen and an error saying there is no resource, copy over the resource.bin again!

can I use old skins? v1.010?

This firmware make my screen white and i can't do anything ( my meizu is SP, and it's a dane-elec ... ) .
Fortunately, Downgrade to 1.010 Work well !

Download the attachment again and retry the upgrade process. I uploaded the wrong file before.

Error , now it make me a green screen ... lol

@ mac_hack - Time to copy the resource.bin over again.

There is still a problem with folders, music files inside folders do not play.

well, i've got a Dane elec M6 (version SP) and I download the 2 versions of the SP firmware. The first one make me a white screen (so downgrade and DFU Tool :D). The second make me a green screen.

Finaly: formating 3 times, lost a little time. So i stay for moment with my version 1.1

Same prob for the other?

EDIT: ok; I put an other time ressource.bin: IT'S OK, it's working. Got just a probleme of language. It's in chinese and I don't know where to go for change language... Somebody know ???=>prob ok. All working. good job

GAH!!! can you guys please put a warning saying that upgrading will format the bloody thing? I didnt know and i lost all my 4 giogs of stuff... thats an hr wasted reuplaoding to my m6

I'm not quite sure I understand what that means. Are we supposed to have like a jpeg file for every song of an album?

For now it seems that is the only way. Let's hope someone finds another way or they improve this function for future versions.

I cant low-level format using v2.000.1 :S, maybe i dont have to at the moment either but still, its a bug that needs attention...

Annoying way to display album art, most definitely. Skins aint working for me either. And I also noticed that navigating menus has gotten a tad more sluggish overall. Maybe its just me...

Right.. i was hoping they'd adopt a system similar to winamp where it would recognise cover.jpg in every folder and use that as the album art. But nevertheless, cant ask for everything at once, this release is the greatest one yet! =)

Yes fraxos, downgrading work well , i tried it before with this firwmare ! ( 2.000 > 1.010 )

This Firmware is damn bugged, so I'll use the old firmware until it's fixed.
