People are repeatedly saying this firmware is buggy... Sure the instalation process isn't user friendly nor does it have all languages, but it improves upon the previous firmwares except in photo transiations.
I personally love the fact that my player got better, the album art is an awesome feature (To the people saying its small is there no satisfying you? Album art is the most common request for the next forum update and all I hear is complaints...I like it) and so are the others...
Thank you Meizu for making my player even better. And the implementation of album art allows me to cripple all users with an iPod nano on all fronts (No more "we have album art" arguements

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsThanks for your effort.
Did you figure this out by yourself?
I tried this with several albums:
Eek-A-Mouse & Michigan and Smiley - Live at Reggae Sunsplash 1984
Live at Reggae Sunsplash 1984Eek-A-Mouse & Michigan and Smiley.jpg
Spearhead - Chocolate Supa Highway
Chocolate Supa HighwaySpearhead.jpg
But I could not get it to work this way.
I Put the image in the same directory as the mp3's.
Oh, never mind, I found the other thread about this:
Upgaded to 2.001.1, but its in chinese!?Last edited by reachme; 02-12-2007 at 08:05 AM. Reason: Other thread

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts@ mariusing and reachme: What reachme said was a repeat of what Err0r said in this topic. Please do not repost other people's post, but rather you may link to them like I demonstrated here.
@ ScottyGEE: Visualisations are different from Equilizations. Equilizations were already present in the M6, which is the settings that affect the SOUND of the player. Visualisations on the other hand, is a new add-on, which consists of a row of bars that go up and down, in synchronisation with the bass/treble of the music you are playing.Meizu M8 MiniOne

Well, i think its great that they finally added albumart but im not going to act like its an awesome feature if it could be so much better. Hopefully and probably its a work in progress and i hope they give us options like fullscreen-albumart and big albumart with trackinfo and stuff at different places to make it optimal.
I will continue to speak my mind if i dont think its good enough.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI agree with Nizzon. I like album at very much, but I wish it will be bigger.
Other daps (sandisk sansa serie e200, samsung Z5F, etc) show a bigger size for album art because you can expand album art (in sansa at almost full screen), and these daps are 1.8" screen!!, and it's a beautiful thing (of course, isn't the most important, but GUI appearance is sometimes a very important factor to many people in order to choose a dap)
Iriver clix (2.2" screen) has a small album art too (and can't be expanded), and isn't as good as the one in sansa or other players, so meizu could win in this thing. With meizu great screen (great resolution and 2.4"), it's a pity album art is so small.
If Meizu could give a bigger album art feature, I'm sure many more people will buy the meizu.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts- Took me more than 2 hours to install it,

- Needed to install it twice and after I had no access anymore from my windows 2000, thanks to DFUTools to put back 1.010 Firmware and after re-installing it another 2 times , tadaaa, yes it's there... working, hem-hem...

- Tried All I can to have Album Art working, only the one-file-by-mp3 system work,

- I was hoping that the annoying auto-off problem will be fixed, badly not,

- When you power off or it auto-off, it doesn't save which track you where so it can resume next time, was in 1.010,

- Well... seems that the elephant delivers a beautiful mouse... :D
=> going back to 1.010 until there will be a serious release...

Curse my geekness. I downloaded the firmware and I sort of made it work. My favorite theme does not work. Everything else does.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI'm guessing that your favourite theme doesn't work because the resource.bin file for that theme doesn't correspond to the new firmware - v2.000.1. Currently, there are only a couple of themes that match this new firmware - search for them in Themes and Modifications.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postsok, i know i said i was too chicken to try out the new firmware but... i did. :D
nothing ominous happened, it didn't freeze or anything. in fact i'm currently using ndee's black beauty skin.
the truth is, i don't see much difference in the new firmware. aside from the visualization, which is sorta cool, for a while. wish it could be changed to a different visualization though.
as for the battery life, haven't had the chance to test it yet.
edit: just thought i'd confirm that the player now automatically updates the music library everytime you unplug it from the usb. this is not necessarily a good thing as it takes quite a few seconds. a bit irritating if all you've done is load a new resource file.Last edited by glacier; 02-13-2007 at 05:14 AM.
