M6 Firmware V2.000

i don't know what does mtp and msc means, but i can't change it cuz the screen is full white...

Same problem here, just press and hold the M-button & ON, while you connect your player to your computer. The miniplayer should now be identified by your computer and you can put the old Firmware into the root directory. Restart the player (hold ON-Button until the white flash disappears) and there should be the normal upgrade process.

nothing happened.. screen is still white...

i cleaned my internet cache and downloaded v2 again, now worked...

works fine with wmp11 in mtp mode so far, have to test napster when i have a fast internet connection again.

album art does not work at all... with my mp3 files. album art is injected into the mp3.

Put both files in the root folder. Make sure you know if you have a T1 or S1 player! Otherwise the screen will turn white! When you have put both files on the device and restarted it you will end up with it asking for the resource file. Put the resource file in the root folder and restart again. Now it should work. If not, do the same procedure again and again.

Anyone got albumart working? The pic on the meizu-page was quite disappointing, really small albumart-pic for such a big screen on the M6.

I have it working for most of my albums syncing with WMP11 when in MTP mode.

When you name the .jpg the same as the song it works. I've testes it some hours ago.
Nevertheless i reinstalled 1.010, cause the new FW seems to be too buggy at all for using it yet.
I think my expectations where too high. The album art feature which I waited for is just stupid. Although this probably works with MTP and WMP11 I don't wanna use this. I bought the Meizu for not using any programm to sync.
I really do not understand the problems in just using the winamp technolgy. (with cover.jpg...)

Yes, new firmware works fine with my 2Gb, updated from S1.010. This was actually my first firmware upgrade. Had to do it twice (yes, the white screen appeared) but now seems to work properly, at least I can watch normal length movies Not tried new features yet...

The album art works with FLAC.
The graphic equaliser display does not.
It stays flat.

They added a 3rd screen to the center tap? -_-

Hope they seriously consider it being an option to disable center taping.

Well you probably should have read the original post stating (IN BOLD RED) that it will delete all your files.

I know it happened and it said it would, but it still sucks that it does that.

This firmware is purely just for users to play around with album art and visualization.
Useless if you cannot play files inside folders. Makes the whole USB interface too crowded.

seems pretty buggy at the moment. i'll wait until the stable version before upgrading. thankfully, you guys are brave enough to test this one out for chickens like me. :D

So, has anyone else managed to low-level format the player? now i cant even do it on fw 10010... i do it by holding the button at the lowest point of the touchpad but it just states that my player is unstable ur something, i dont understand, i do manage do format it when installing new Fw and via Windows, but still, as I said, a bug that certainly needs attention as it is the fuction which have saved my player from "death" several times...

i have upgraded to the new FW, and it is still buggy BUT...i still think its worth to upgrade
ATTENTION: you must do the upgrade procedure twice to make it work...
after the first time, your machine may turn to a green screen, connect to PC and do the upgrade once more..



Album art is like this : #ALBUMNAME##ARTIST#.jpg better with 80x80
E.g. : Kenny G - Breathless
BreathlessKenny G.jpg --> no space between album name and the artist, but with space if either album name or artist name have a space....hope u understand

visual EQ does not work with FLAC at this moment

with added support to WMA lossless and MTP with WMP11 is really a great achievement

skin could be made make use of the Resource Editor, and its different from the former version. watch out!!

UMS(Universal mass storage) is still supported and it is the default rather than the MTP, so dont worry if your device got blank, green or white

BTW, the firmware is not yet officially released and honestly those bugs are still acceptable for me..~.~
For those who want perfect, wait a couple of month, since lunar year is coming, MEIZU will be on holiday for half a month I guess...~~
