Hallo zusammen.

Robert

Ooops sorry, I didn't realize that I was not in the correct section.

I was just asking if there are alternative links for the firmware as the posted link for SP version is dead.
Or if there is the possibility that someone could send me the firmware via email..

Best regards,
Robert

No problem. The links are working for me, so... You can try directly from Meizu's homepage if you want, but I think the links are pointing there too. If it's not working I'll send it to you, just give me your e-mail address.

I have tested the 2.004.5FW and two thing to say:

*The pUpU problem still the same(just play a music in the player(M6 SP) at a volume of 10 or 12 more or less, pause the player and pump down the volume to 0 and up several times(0 and 1, 0 and 1) and you will notice what I'm talking about).

*The other thing I don't like is, when viewing pictures I prefer to use the center pad to select the background and exit pressing once the M button than pressing twice the M button to exit photo Mode.(I think this is functioning that way since the 2.004.1 or something like that).

Please correct me.

Reasons to Update

1. Updating of music library takes Longer to start but fast when started (same time 2 me.)

2. Updating Music Library (Fixed). If connected as usb storage and nothing is change, it wont update the library. It goes right back to the folder where u left it. THE BEST ONE!!!!!!!!!!!

3. Ebook has more functions.

4. Picture loads a little faster.

5. Playlist loads a little faster.

6. It takes longer to shutdown when paused.

7. It looks better than 2.003.2 and beyond. (with the right skin and font).
Simple blue skin looks good with font - Ububtu Titling. the enlargement of text when highlighted is not significantly larger than original with this font.

cue sheet

I've got a little problem with cue sheets. When i put one big flac/ape/mp3 file with cue sheet it doesn't work exactly rigt(it works fine in a PC). Meizu doesn't recognize artist or album and every song puts into "Unknown" in alphabetical order. It's rather annoying and useless, because i can't listen whole album in the right order. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Please help

No, you aren't doing something wrong. I have the same problems. Another problem with .cue files is that all the tracks are too long. The length of the track is the length of the full mp3 - the start time of the track.

still same old nagging issues

lordy, perhaps the M8 will have the same issues (shudder!!!)

1/ listen to music, go back a level to view the images in the folder, cannot do, must delete them or cancel... insane!

2/ listen to music, go back to folder to read text about artist, cannot go back to music without going all the way back to main menu and back again one level, in so doing losing the ability to go back to the folder containing the text.

please god the menu system and flexibility of the m8 will be a few steps up from the M8.

till later
Mark.

Ive found another useful fix in 2.004.5

Upon playing a song, you put it on hold and turn off the backlight (by holding down the M), normally (previous firmwares) if you touch the touchpad BEFORE A CERTAIN TIME PERIOD the light will appear.

However, in the new firmware, once the backlight is turned off after hold key is on, the light wont come on even if you touch the touchpad right after.

This is useful when turning off the backlight before putting the player in your pocket.
