M62.004.5 Beta Release

A Beta release of M6\T\S\SL 2.004.5 from Meizu BBS.

The only change listed is support for .ape cue files has been added.

Although this did not format my player (2.004.3) be sure to backup your files before updating. If your player does format you will have to recopy the resource.bin file to the player after the format.

The Language defaulted to Chinese after the update, to reset enter Menu and scroll 10 down for Settings, then 7 down for Language.

You can not use previous 2.004.3\4 skins with this version.

No fix for the stutter issue so I would suggets only updating if you want to use .cue files.

They also added a "jump to page" - option in text mode.

I think the time until auto-power off has also been increased (more than 5 minutes until shutoff now).

^ They act as ID3 tags for APE files unless I'm mistaken.

afaik .cue sheets allow the separation of tracks from one big .ape file that can contain a whole album, similiar to .bin/.cue CD-Rips.

I think that answers your question. Quotes seem to be broken, sorry for the mess.

The Resource Editor reads the resource.bin of this version just fine though.

You're not alone. But we can't do anything - that's really sad.

Updating from 2003.2 to this release will format your player.
I've just got this in my case.
I will then recommend you all at least to backup your files before updating.
I can confirm the stutter issue is the same like in an old 2003.2 release.
Sad!

I think there is. Playlists load a bit faster, and the player succesfully reads 6MP photos (2816x2112) in both thumbnail and fullscreen modes, and it does this at a pretty nice pace - thumbnails are generated almost instantly and picture loading takes only around 3-4 seconds, auto-rotate works too - while the initial specs said it only recognizes up to 1024x1024 resolution. A zoom function would've been neat, but hey, the M6 ain't a digital camera or a photo editing software, it's a music and video player with a picture viewing function. :P

There are a few seconds of lag after you set a 6MP photo as your wallpaper, but once it's set it doesn't lag again on a player restart.

So this means I can use my mixed albums (which are on MP3 format) with their CUE files or does it work only with APE format?
