Emgeton (SP) Firmware [CZ EN DE HU PL SK SE]

Emgeton, a Czech MP3 Player distributor sells the Meizu M6 miniPlayer SP under the name Emgeton M6 Cult. The firmware is totally compatible.

In the Egmeton firmware of S2.002.3, they have included Czech, English, German, Hungarian, Polish, Slovak and Swedish.

Owners of SP miniPlayers could have a go with their firmware. The default language is Czech, instructions how to change language here: Change Language Settings

If you already have S2.XXX installed, no reformat is necessary.

I notice that in these Emgeton versions Hua Rong Dao is removed.

In our FW will be Hua Dong Rao back again. I am also working on Unicode and UTF-8 TXT encoding support

the unicode support is nice, but i dont like seeing emgeton and "m6cult" as a startup :/

any chance you nice lads would like to release a meizu-branded version too? ;p

No, because this FW is being payed and released exclusively for Emgeton.

Does the new version fix the LCD problem?

What exactly you mean saying LCD problem? Can you tell us?

Thanks for the firmware, I have not installed it yet. Is the text fix the only one?

Any chance these things:
1/ album art while listening
2/ when browsing and lisntening to music, you cannot get back to the music ID3 tag display, you have to wait 20 secs to get back to the display.

it is also OGG big fixed, LCD pixelize bug fixed, added Swedish language. Next FW will contain some of points descrobed in other topic. I cannot confirm release date, because there is lot of work.

Hi,

there is possibility to add your language as official. One and only things I will need from you, is to translate files, which I can send you. Then, I will let prepare new FW version, where French will be officially supported.

I'm using M6 Cult S 1.010.3 firmware on my M6. When ripping CDs with FLAC 1.12 the player skips the files and does not play them. CDs ripped with FLAC 1.11 are played fine...

Willl this be adressed in the next firmware release?

This was reported already - in next FW update will be repaired.

Reg. Dutch - I am not sure, I need to consult it and we think about it (but not promising to next FW).
Reg. battery boost - I don`t think, that this will be so dramatic, because of physical things in battery. You ccanot take more, than device is able to give you

I just noted that, when I open the resource.bin (Emgeton FW - S 1.010.3 CZ) with the MiniPlayerResEditorGUI, I see 18 languages and language no. 5 is Dutch!?

Yes, you are right. But we need to tak about it in our company, if it is reliable to let it enable. But I think, that yes as well as French.

My SP player's bricked after I tried to upgrade. The screen won't turn on, my PC won't recognize it, and none of the buttons work. Hard/soft resets don't do anything.

You not follow right upgarde steps.
Try again with DFU tools.

I would, except the PC DOESN'T RECOGNIZE IT. There's nothing the software can do about it.
