I don't know if I'm the only one who has this problem. I haven't seen anyone complain about this, so I'm not sure.
I've been having a serious problem with my player ever since I installed the 2004.3 SP firmware (actually, I first installed the 2004.3 FW that claimed it was 2004.3 and then the one that pronounced itself 2004.4 once loaded).
The problem is that it will completely disfigure a song beyond all recognition for no reason known to me. What it will do is play a song from the beginning but stutter from the beginning, and when I say stutter, I do mean stutter: best described as rapid on/off, the player seems to play tiny parts of music and silence alternatively, and it will do so throughout the entire song.
A strange thing is that the bug seems to be occurring at random. If I do a fast forward or reverse the next song, or even the song itself will play flawlessly. Next time round, the same song might play well, and a different song might get mangled.
I'd let you hear some of this, but as I said, it's hardly reproducible. It seems to have gotten worse the past few days though.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsHi,
ok, so It's not only my problem:-D Ok, I have found the same behavior. Sometimes (maybe some eruptions on Sun) it is doing every two songs, sometimes I can play the whole album without any problem.
And yes, only F.REW or F.FWD helps. Strange and I am very very disappointed.
I think that new firmware should repair old bugs and not to add new, even worse ones!

No shuttering...?
I have a 8GB Meizu (SP version) with installed firmware S 2.004.3 but it reports S 2.004.4 in the Settings/About screen. So I think I have the same version as you have.
I have had experienced no shuttering at all. I use MP3's and WMA's files, most of them are VBR encoded. Average bitrate is mostly below 128. I tried other files as well as an experiment and found no shuttering, at least not that I hear when travelling through the rush hour traffic with my in ear buds plugged in.
I was wondering if someone could send me an example file. I am just curious if it is the file and the way it is encoded that results in shuttering or that there's some other cause.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI have the same problem
Hi people, I have the same problem too. Before I update my firmware, there isn't any problems playing the songs except the end of song shuttering (the one or two loud noise at the last 1 or 2 seconds of a song).
But after i update to the latest firmware same as u guys, if i just let the m6 play by itself without skipping the tracks or changing the songs, after playing some tracks, one of the track with shutter all the way from the start to the end (it is like play and stop, play and stop in a very fast way). if i skip the track and go back to the same track again, the song can play smoothly.
I didn't change the songs or add in new tracks before and after i update the firmware, so shouldn't be the problem of the songs.
Do u guys know what's the cause of the problem? How to solve it?

I did have this problem ONCE... it was about 6 month ago when I receive my M3... suddenly song started to skip parts like a turntable with a very light stylus not capable of follow the track jumping along the disc.
That's not what we call stuttering here but paradoxically is more like a stutter
.
Since then I've changed many times firmware and never happened again something similar to that and I have been using the player almost everyday. By that time I think on a problem of battery. After that I bought an M6 that never presents such failure.
I think that this problem is related with the player you own related with some electrical issue, like battery. IMHO if this become frequent you better change it.

same problem as described.. the whole track is screwed
and its not the file's problem cos if i FWD to next song and REV back, problem is gone.
the problem is random and I believe is firmware based.
back to the old firmware then...

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI've experienced this problem so many times that I've already lived with it....
I've both the end of song stuttering and this full song stuttering problem..
In terms of timing of when it usually happens, its really random
I still couldn't pinpoint the exact source
but I've around 1.4k songs in my m6, all in mp3 vbr format if this helped
I may try re-encoding all my songs to wma and see if it helps someday..

Thanked 1,024 Times in 375 Postshmm i tested this on one of my stuttering album, and it didn't find any errors, so it has fixed nothing... there's an other mp3 fixing program called "tidymp3", here's the thread
it's not perfect, but it has eliminated the killer noises, and reduced the stutterings to 1-2 seconds max.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postsanswer for me
I had upgraded my firmware .3 to .4 and got this problem.
I downgraded to 2.003 or 2.002 (can't remember) and upgraded to latest again.
Since then, no problem.
