Thanks "nice2know_u" Change Log as translated by "IversonJack"
1. Support for 3.95~3.99 APE encoding added.
2. Fixed bug related to VBR MP3 files not displaying track times correctly.
3. Fixed bug related to when a VBR MP3 track finishes playing, and then goes on to play an APE file, the crash that happens.
4. Fixed bug related to when hovering in menus, pressing "enter" resulted in an option to close the player? (not quite sure about this one).
5. Fixed bug related to when after one manually close down the backlight, player unable to display screen again. (on M6, this is the function when you press and hold the menu button).
6. Fixed bug relating to crashing when voice record folder is opened.
7. Fixed bug that causes music to not be able to fast forward.
8. Fixed bug when a song is on pause, the "pupu" sound the player makes when you slide the volume up or down. (LOL).
9. Fixed bug when in "all music" folder, when you are at the bottom of the list, and you tap once more downwards to go to the top of the list, the crap stuff that is left at the bottom of the selector strip (LOL).
+1 thing i noticed: touchpad sensitivity has been increased! scrolling through menus is faster than before, i like it!Last edited by nice2know_u; 11-16-2007 at 01:36 PM. Reason: Added translation of change log by IversonJack

I have 1 issue with this new firmware.
After i update from the previous to this, SOMETIMES a song will be messed up.
It will like go very very slow and distorted.
To fix it i push forward then back to the song and it works fine .... can anyone else confirm this bug ?

Ok so when i tried reinstalling this same firmware my player tried upgrading then it died !!
I spent an hour trying to fix it. ( reading forum, manual and trying a few things )
I hold play button for 20 seconds, then i held power and and M until the yellow screen appeared and said formating.
Player is working now :X i haven't yet noticed this slow distorted music bug yet..,. i will report back if i do.
Either its firmware bug or firmware didnt install correctly before because the first time i upgraded the player didn't format :X this 2nd try it did.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts@Moogle: My SL "crashed" while updating firmware too, but i held play until it booted up and it worked fine...
Here are some other things I noticed that were fixed:
1. AVI icon is moved back to its original spot when selecting videos
2. Exiting out of the games now function properly.
What is still a problem/problems created after patch:
1. Stuttering still occurs at end of songs, but happens less often, and occurs on MP3s with a bit rate of 128kbps or less.
2.Above problem fixed on some songs, but now cuts off 0.5 to 1 second of the song.
3. Random distortion in some point of a song. Very rare but occurs more often.
4. NEW BUG: Slow distortion throughout a song is an issue. (I encountered it.)
ALSO: Resource file has not changed and is still the same as 2.004.1 beta TP/SP and 2.004.3 SL.Last edited by DYE_Slayer; 11-05-2007 at 06:05 AM.

4. NEW BUG: Slow distortion throughout a song is an issue. (I encountered it.)
As for stutter what is that ? Do you mean song stutters for 1-2 seconds and is fine ?

I am sorry to report i still encountered 3. Random distortion in some point of a song. Very rare but occurs more often sometimes.
Can be fixed by going forward then back but just to let you know this started happening ever since i updated to this new firmware.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsAll this bugs tell only about very short testing phase. Has Meizu no time for testing it well? No money? What are the reasons for such simple to discover bugs? I'm a student on the university of technology in germany and in all projects we must test our software for every bug that can occur, specially in User Interface. Sorry but I can't understand their concept in software planing

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsThat's why firmware should be Open Source....
What is better?:
1)Meizu paying a little group of people developing/testing firmware without sufficient time.
2)Meizu paying 0$ while ALL THE MEIZU COMMUNITY AROUND THE WORLD is developing/testing firmware and improving it.
Answer is obvious for us, not for meizu.
