2004.3 Fw...

i found this fw at the chinesemeizu site...
i havent tried it, nor tested it...


do you guys think its valid? it doesnt say for which tp/sp, thats why im not testing it, i dont want to spend the rest of my day dfu'ing my player cause of wrong fw issue...:D

The current official release for the M6SL is 2.004.3 so I would imagine it is that one. If you unzip and check the files you will possibly find the .EBN file labeled M6SL.EBN

yea, thats what it says...

is it safe to apply this to my sp m6?

From what I can gather the resource.bin is the same as the current Test 2.004.1 but the M6SL.ebn won't load even if you tried which is a good thing as with the hardware differences between the two players I am sure it would have a BRICK factor of 10.

I've tried to put the resource.bin in my SP, and it works fine.

But it seems that the SP resource.bin doesn't work on a SL version ... pretty strange ...

The SP resource.bin DOES work with a SL M6, a friend of mine has tested it

when is the official 2.004 fw goin to release for sp..? its been a few months since the test version came out...come on already...

So does that mean you can downgrade?

it seems there's a newer firmware available for the SL at the chinese meizu site (2.004.4), here's the link:

I have tried running the change log through Google translation and most of the changes do not translate well enough to understand. I particularly like 8. which discribes the "PuPu" bug

All that aside there are 9 changes listed in the firmware so it seems it may be a worthwhile update for those experiencing "PuPu" related or other problems.

Perhaps Iversonjack can provide a translation.

lol madman, ok this what it says on the official download page for M6SL 2.004

1. Support for 3.95~3.99 APE encoding added.
2. Fixed bug related to VBR MP3 files not displaying track times correctly.
3. Fixed bug related to when a VBR MP3 track finishes playing, and then goes on to play an APE file, the crash that happens.
4. Fixed bug related to when hovering in menus, pressing "enter" resulted in an option to close the player? (not quite sure about this one).
5. Fixed bug related to when after one manually close down the backlight, player unable to display screen again. (on M6, this is the function when you press and hold the menu button).
6. Fixed bug relating to crashing when voice record folder is opened.
7. Fixed bug that causes music to not be able to fast forward.
8. Fixed bug when a song is on pause, the "pupu" sound the player makes when you slide the volume up or down. (LOL).
9. Fixed bug when in "all music" folder, when you are at the bottom of the list, and you tap once more downwards to go to the top of the list, the crap stuff that is left at the bottom of the selector strip (LOL).

This is for the firmware that is released on 2/11/2007.

Thanks IJ sadly the PuPu bug does not sound anywhere near as exciting as I imagined.

I just finished a skin with the "test" version.
I guess I'll have to put it in this newley released version.
Iversionjack, I had no idea it had so many bugs!
Does it really poop? I'll have to have some tissue ready.

When i upgrade to this new version, as soon as played some songs it froze during the track and sound came out gibberish.

I updated my music library and it's all ok so no problem :X just thought i'd mentioned it though.
