They should focus on fixing bugs like this, not on adding new functionality to the firmware.

I hate that bug, especially when listening to audio books that are split up.

Has anyone tested the issue and determined what exactly causes the stuttering? I only ask because it's only happened to me on a single audio track out of the thousands and thousands that I've ever played. Perhaps we should try to pin down the root cause of the problem first.

With that in mind, I consider non-gapless playback to be much worse of a problem. Non-gapless playback occurs on every single track, every single time. I can't even enjoy most of my music bc of that.

Withholding signature for the time being.

Interesting. I have absolutely no use for gapless playback. Why exactly do you want gapless? I like the pauses between songs personally. As for the stutter, mine stutters on probably 10% or more of my songs. It is so annoying that I broke down and bought a Clix2. To test the issue I transfered the files from my M6 onto my Clix. I have yet to have a single song stutter on the Clix. So it is definitely not a file issue. As far as I'm concerned the ONLY advantage the M6 has over the Clix2 is the sound quality. Sound quality on the M6 is stellar, while the sound quality on the Clix is above average. If Meizu had fixed the stutter by now I would not have bought the Clix.

    gapless explanation

Well, I don't want too go to off topic from the original post. But in short, gapless playback is most important for electronic or classical music, or any other music that have much longer compositions that are made up of smaller parts.

In an electronic album, for example, a dj will likely "mix" all the component tracks into a long track. The transition is one of the most important parts of the tracks. In classical music, a single song may be made of numerous movements that transition from one to the other.

Non-gapless cuts the music all up and ruins the transitions.

Now, regarding the stuttering. I understand that the tracks work fine on your new Clix. However, that doesn't tell us the full story. There may be a simple user remedy (e.g., encoding under different method). But I personally have not experimented or even read up on the other threads here, so I can't say for sure if this hasn't already been tried.

I'm about to get a Meizu M6sl (whenever it comes out in China) and really hope that there will not be a stuttering effect when I get it.

I have a hunch as to what may cause the stuttering at the end of songs.

    Embedded album art!

For me, the stuttering doesnt happen all that often. I loaded a new album onto my M6 and noticed that all the songs on the album suffered from the stuttering at the end. I also noticed that all these songs had the album cover embedded within the mp3 file as an ID3 tag. I then removed the embedded album art from the MP3 files using a tool called MP3TAG V2.39. Saved these back to my M6 and no more end of track stuttering.

Interesting... but it's not so... kindly search for my posts and take a song I post named "Arabia" and do some tests.
This song has ID3v2 tag, which is what i use for my entire collection. Normally there is over 4 clicks ending this track. When I remove cover art it reduce stuttering, then I remove ID3v2 tag leaving only ID3v1, it reduces another click. Finally with no tag at all... there was just ONE clicking.

    I sign again!!!
