Looking back there were quite more issues with the M6 than just stuttering:
  • you have to do a workaround to get Album art displayed (my mobile phone does by default...)
  • you have to do a workaround to display movies as none of the standard movie formats is supported (my mobile phone can show movies by default...)
  • There have been more severe crashes than I ever experienced with any electronic device I have been running. And these crahes always meant a complete loss of data
So bye-bye meizu and so long forum!
You are forgetting that back in the day, the M6 was seriously cheap. And you get what you pay for, in this case not so much development and hence a few bugs. If you want a highly developed product go buy an overpriced iPod. If the iPod had the same bugs as the M6, shit would hit the fan because of the large bitch ass userbase.

SQ of the M6 is probably better then the current iPods, and who gives a shit about album art anyway. I just use my M6 in my car now, it does the job - most of my music is FLAC so i just have a couple of albums on there at any one time.

TMM is correct, the M6 was around 100USD for a 4GB model in 2006, compared to an iPod nano at the time that was 200USD.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. If only someone had told me that the M6 can't handle mp3s before I bought one.

Meizu manufactured the M6, not Philips.
Meizu should have used components that worked.

What a good idea!
Will Meizu refund the purchase price so I can buy a different player?

<rhetorical question>
So the old maxim, "buy cheap, buy twice", is true for the M6?
</rhetorical question>
