Source: http://meizu.com/bbs/dispbbs.asp?boa...=566484&page=1

Will format player when upgrading.

Added APE support, no CUE lyric support just yet.
Added "return" key.
Added 'floating' effect to menus.

REMEMBER: THIS IS ONLY A TEST VERSION. REAL ONE TO BE RELEASED VERY SOON.

Edit: File names show TP or SP version, select at caution. Also, it says it is 2.004.2, when it is suppose to be read 2.004.1.

Will it format the player?

Any other improvements, such as the well known "end-of-song-studdering"?

Im pretty sure it didnt say it formated the player last night when i commented, yet if it did i guess i was a careless reader... which doesnt happen to me all that often.

Thanks!
Do you think final version will include GUI improvements (read: look like SL's)?

I really doubt it, 'cause they have to make users to get the new Meizu SL to enjoin news functionalities. I'm pretty sure Meizu it's going to make all the Old M6 users to get the new M6 SL to enjoin the new features the have incorporate to the M6 SL.

Hi All,
I just upgraded and noticed a few additional GUI differences from the newest stable release (from what I recall).
- Like the SL, the menus have changed so that the highlight text is larger
- When looking at "All Songs", a small icon shows what format the highlighted song is in (ie. mp3)
- In lists, like of songs and folders, pressing the << and >> buttons jumps top, middle, bottom positions in the list. Very helpful for long lists I think.

Oh, and best of all: THE STUTTER PROBLEM IS GONE (from my brief tests so far)

Thanks for the report dleung. You have just convinced me to upgrade.
Edit: Just upgraded. It went OK except I had to put resource file in after formatting (duh).
The new GUI modifications look cool, although I miss my 2003.2 skin

After some more listening to the player I think I can safely say that the stuttering problem is greatly reduce. Most of the songs that used to stutter don't anymore or the worst i've seen was like half a stutter (before it'd stutter like 5+ times which kinda annoying.. but kinda funny cuz u'd expect a mp3 player to play mp3s properly).

Anyways, I'm happy I upgraded and found no problems so far.
