Well, as you all describe the hiss or stutter, I have to say I have nothing such serious (I have it but very rarly). I am on S 2.003.2 from Emgeton. There is however more annoying issue - auto-switching off after end of some songs. I recon, it might have the same reason as the hissing, but the reaction of the player is more "radical" in this case
.
If ther is someone having same issue, please support me ...

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsAuto-switching off might be caused by, when after song finishes, the player goes into 'stop' mode - no songs is played. Therefore after a short period of time, the player will turn itself off to save power. Is that what you are experiencing? Because that is normal. A song will stop when it comes to the end of its list of 'random' songs to be played. Putting player on pause will also cause it to turn off after a while.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsFirst I start playing mp3 files, after that I play APE files and then player needs hard reset, because it get frozen. When I play APE file as first, the problem doesn't appear. So I think it's big problem with firmware. Also I noticed sync problems in movies (sound before video) Do you know, when would be the final version of firmware?

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI don't really understand those who absoluty wants a perfect video playback : the primary function of a portable music player is...playing music!!!
If you want to play video, buy a pmp, you can't get all the features of a 400$ player in a 100$ one (sure, if the 400$ one is an ipod, then you can ^^).
What I just want to say, is that they should first fix audio playback problems before fixing video, photo and other stuff...
About the auto switching off, it happens for me sometimes, and that's not the normal auto switching of : just after (I mean instantly) the end of the song, the player suddenly goes off, and even sometimes while the song is playing... That's not happens often, but that annoying...

Beware... you are blaming firmware of natural errors... some of them caused by users. Let's see:
1. APE files are still in a initial phase remember that firmware is a BETA, some APE files could not be properly played if they out of range covered by implemented decoder. APE encoding have several qualities... APE played by MEIZU players have to be encoded as NORMAL.
2. Out-of-sync is also a user problem... normally a good video (ie. from an AVI video) should accept 25 fps in a bitrate of 500 or less. Many videos converted from MPG have to reduce FPS or use a more sophisticated converter to reach 25 fps.
Converting from MPG I get safe converting to up to 22 fps.
Just take in account that decoders included in a firmware aren't as decoders installed in a PC which can accept a wider range of errors. The infamous issue of stutter is due to this. Meizu MP3 decoder is not as wide as a PC decoder then encoding errors aren't properly filtered, stuttering at the end of a track.

Hm what you just said Daremos is interesting.
So why aren't the decoders more refined ? Is this hard for Meizu to do or something ?

Multiple reasons... lack of space, copyrights, bad selection, bad engineer, bad implementation... also can be a chip malfunctioning (I hope is not the Philips DAC
).
Meizu should answer to this
I am waiting eagerly to M6 SL to know if it fails in MP3 decoding of not-so-good files. :D

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts2.004.xx TEST still doesn't work right with Windows Media Player
Just loaded up the new firmware and resynced with WMP11 - Playlist still don't show up and Album Art is still not working.
Very Disappointing. . .
What are those Meizu techs doing - Don't they read these forums and hear the problems, or do they sit around and argue about whether the should add meaningless features like highlighted menu choices, rather than dealing with the the critical functionality issues like:
Studdering
Video playback
Playlists
Album Art

Oh YES!
YOU are so right my friend! And I ask me also what the most of the forum members are doing here:
...discussing devotional around the stinking cake!
Why so many of them are so patient with this Meizu?!?
I don't see this situation from a relaxed position anymore - too many bugs and halfready features for too long time.
Yes I'm really pi..ed
when I imagine yellow grinsing stuff
in the management office of Meizu. What the hell these people are doing there?
Get your a.. up and fullfill your promises! Please!

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsNo one ever in this right world, said that M6's album art works with WMP11. No one ever. So stop complaining about it not being compatible with WMP11. Nothing goes the way you want it to. That's life.

I agree with iversonjack.
However i do think this stuttering for audio is a serious issue Meizu should look into.
Other important stuff they could do is add in gapless playback.
These are the only 2 Real problems i can see so far.
Is there a problem for the M6 where the playlist doesn't play the next song correctly ? I think someone mentioned this before not sure if they fixed that yet or not.
For video playback what exactly is the problem ? If there is no problem and you only want them to improve their video, there is a Meizu M6 SE coming next year with better video capabilities. It's nice to have more video support but this is pretty low on my priority list because all i ever needed Meizu for was just music. The screen is just a bonus so i can navigate menus. I may not utilize watching movies on such a tiny screen usually, but i can appreciate the fact that it's there and available.
As for album art i am unsure. I never really used it but i think i will once i get my M6 SL. Somebody in the forum made a program to get the album art, so why don't you use that since i think it works. You can't just cry because album art in WMP 11 doesn't work when there are other better solutions.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsThe shuttering problem is obvious! There is no room to talk about if this issue should be improved or not.
The video playback is for many people an important feature. Out of sync problems or not starting videos are a priority issue. I tried over 100 decodings and today im still not clear which file will be accepted by my M6. The video function is halfready if you look around the market.
Clock is running out of sync. Even if this is not the most importants thing of this world, this is really a evidence for the incompetency of Meizu engineers.
The sorting of songs shows failures. Sometimes I do not understand what my M6 box is doing there.
And you are right my friend...
...there are also a lot of nice things like gapless playback, a search function or more of this, what would be very fine to have.
But reality has stopped me to dream!

Video playback and v/a synch are no longer an issue
With the correct settings either Mencoder or Virtualdub will produce perfect results.
If you do not know how to use these simple tools then you can use the many simple front end applications such as Batman, WisMencoder, etc.
