Thanked 1,024 Times in 375 Postsoh and one more thing (maybe this should be in the "wishlist for next fw" thread) when the selection is on a long filename, or song title, the scrolling to the left should be much more faster! you have to wait like 30 seconds at some titles to get to the end. i hope you get what i mean :D

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI mean I have to connect my M6 to a PC to update the playlist file, or create the playlist using my PC and export it to the M6 before I can see it. If I add songs to "My Playlist" on the fly using the M6 menu and select Save Playlist the playlist doesn't appear in my list of playlists.
Do this work / not work for anyone else? If it's something I'm doing wrong or something peculiar to my M6 I'd love to know, but I've tried everything I can think of.

I've been working on my first skin, and went ahead and upgraded with my progress. I've had no problems, except that I forgot to backup a playlist.
The Temptation- I could not resist upgrading after seeing the demo video that shows that the text highlight enlarges the font!
Results- Had to do it twice, but other than that, no problems. I love the enlarged highlighted letters! I noticed the "return" selection added in the menus I scrolled through. Video seems to load faster.
Startup-About 12 seconds with about 4 gigabytes of data loaded (mostly music). Sound- can't really tell, because I lost my user-defined equalization.
Slide show- I still think that the random slide show should lose the "no transition", because that disrupts the flow.
Resource Editor 1[1].03.1 worked to skin so far. I'm pleased because this is the first time I've ever worked on a skin.
A wrinkle- I don't understand Chinese, so It took me about 5 minutes to find right menu to change the language to English after I updated the Firmware.
Overall, COOL!

Great, still didn't fix the skipping issue. Honestly, this is the last straw. I'm selling the M6 on craigslist and buying an ipod ... only $50 more and won't freak out at the end of the song. I've had it for over 5 months and still no fix has been offered and now nothing for it in this most recent firmware. Sorry Meizu, it was a good try and I wish it worked because I like a cheaper player that looks as good and is designed better in many ways ... but this end of song skipping/repeating is a deal breaker. And I'd have to say, people considering an M6 player ... don't, it's got a serious problem that has been ignored for months and months and there is no solution in sight, just magnifying text for useless eyecandy. Ugh.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsBugs still present that I can see are:
- Album Artist tag in Ogg still overwrites the Album tag.
- EQ transparency still does not display correctly.
- Video playback control system still differs from audio playback
- That overly bright default background is still present.
I also cant help but feel that if any new audio format support was to be added, surely aac would be more useful given that non drm'ed versions are being sold on iTunes.
Good job on fixing the spelling of "Background Blend" though
That was a bugbear of mine for ages.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsUm, anyone else has tracks sorted by title instead of track number? It's weird because albums from the first artist in my list get the track names sorted OK, but the others don't...

Wooo! No more end of song stutter! That was my main problem with it and it's gone now (well about 95 percent of it). (Update)...Never mind...the end of song stutter is reduced not eliminated

IPods FTW
Owner of the Meizu MiniPlayer SP (White) 4 gig ~Wish I wasn't, but I got a iPod Touch now and everything is all good. The songs don't stutter

Thanked 1,024 Times in 375 Postsgood thing in this firmware we can cancel the "updating music library" by pressing the M button...too bad it doesn't work as it should, because if you cancel the update you won't see the files that were on the player before you copied new ones. i hope they fix this in the final release.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsIf you are going to abandon your M6 I wouldn't go to the iPod. You bought the M6 partly because it has among the best sound quality (I assume). If sound quality is still important to you then take a close look a the iRiver Clix2. It is probably the best player on the market right now. (Sorry Meizu...but I too feel somewhat let down that my mp3 player cannot even play mp3's properly)

Who did the test and sentence this?

I did had an iRiver X20 and I wasn't impressed by its sound quality... it's average as it's iPod Nano... it just sound and that's all.
Anyway X20 had more goodies than a Nano... but still are just a player without any other capability... like it is to change background, for instance.
What really impressed me of this iRiver player was its managing of ID3 therefore its internal file organization and sort by concepts (artist, album, tracks).
Not too much for a player a bit expensive. I sold it for half its price...

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI'm not sure what an x20 is. The Clix2 is a U20. I had its predecessor the Original Clix (U10). The sound quality was outstanding....easily on par with the M6 and far superior to the iPod, Sanza and Zen. I have owned all of the above at some point. The Clix2 has not changed the sound quality from the original Clix. iRiver has always been known for sound quality (as has Cowon). I am extremely picky when it comes to the quality of the sound of my mp3 player...or any of my other electronics. If I toss my M6 (which I'm not quite ready to do...yet) the only other current mp3 player I would choose based on sound quality alone is the Clix.

Font tool does work.. sorta..
chaching!
i used the font tool program with this test version, and
yes it does work.
BUT
when the menu bar hovers over the text (to enlarge it), it makes the text larger, however it reverts back to the original font.
i guess it's something for those meziu tech-guru's to figure out!
:D
