Seems Alright. I didn't listen to the music yet. But for some reason the display is a lot different. Couldn't put my finger on it yet, it seems like a different font is being used.

Any word on the "end-of-song-stutter" issue that so many have a problem with? Is it really fixed? I never had a problem with it so can't really say.
It would be awesome and really cut down on the whining that has become rampant as of late. Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postscompared to last time, it eliminates 90% of what was skipping last time. now it doesnt make a static sound but instead loops the last 1/4 second about 6 times.
edit: id would have to say the main downfall in this firmware is that it is super laggy. takes me like 5 mins to update library. when i click "all songs" it takes like 2 secs to load. if you scroll up and down continuously, the lag is very noticeable.Last edited by Whatakevin; 09-29-2007 at 05:12 AM.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsWhatakevin, that repeat thing at the end is what everyone's complaining about, so it is not fixed. You have maybe too much songs or albums/folders, so it'll take a while to update music library or load. We don't have a dual or quad core processor inbuilt in the M6, now do we?
Just tested out the new firmware, nothing much really, except the enlargement of the font... which I don't personally enjoy. Don't listen to APE files, so no biggy update for me. Will downgrade, and wait for official release.Last edited by iversonjack; 09-29-2007 at 05:43 AM.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsJust a short message about the end of the track skipping - this release didn't fix any of the skipping I was experiencing with my old 2003.2 emgeton firmware - it's the same. I also read ebooks on my M6 and this version doesn't support CE character set. So it's back to 2003.2 for now. Hope they fix this skipping issue in the release version of the firmware.

Okay, just had a good test of this beta release.
Some things I had noticed (M6 TP version):
1. Hissing is still there
2. Killer noise (2 consecutive loud ZZZT ZZT noises) problem has not been fixed. This occurs at the end of the track and only appears in poorly encoded mp3's.
3. Photo Library is completely broken, should be fixed up in the final release.
4. Someone mentioned a lag with this firmware release, I have the 2GB meizu M6 and can confirm that there is no lag, the time it takes to load the tracks from the tag browser is the same as before (instantaneous).
5. Cool text zoom feature when your bar hovers over a menu item. Although not perfect as some items which have long names (Album or song names) will enlarge past the size of the screen resulting in text being cut off. (Edit: it isnt actually cut off, if you wait a while, the text will scroll across! heaps good!)
6. Shutting down time has been considerably increased.Last edited by Blackstar; 09-29-2007 at 12:56 PM.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsWell probably is fixed for some type of files?Like I said before my chikinki album, had a stutter of 20seconds,and now it's gone
EDIT: Forget what I said, the stutter only disappear when you fast forward the music,in fact in the chikinki album the stutter is now worst,26~27sec(New record!).Damn you meizu!Last edited by LordZero; 09-29-2007 at 09:13 AM.

Shouldn't be long until next firmware, but I have a bad feeling that not a lot of problems will be fixed... they are concentrating on APE support, and what the Meizu BBS chinese forum's users are complaining about... there isn't much there about hissing/stuttering/lag/tiny stuff.Meizu M8 MiniOne

/edit
ive opened it with resource editor, and the change's in skin are:
1. bigger menu bar, this is for the new scrolling feature i gues
2. new icons, they have no more colour
further there are no changes in the skinLast edited by Hillman5100; 09-29-2007 at 12:00 PM.

Thanked 1,024 Times in 375 Postsgrrrr that killer noise at the end of some songs is still there!!! i hate it, a few days ago it was doing the "zzzzzzzz" for like a minute at volume 33 and it hurt :D please meizu fix this problem it's really annoying and also damages the ears. also hissing still exists... and the hovering effect in the menu doesn't look good in my opinion, the font is too big and looks dumb
menu bar animation should be smooooooth!

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsYea, I agree with that menu hover thing. I reckon they should make it so that, when you go over a menu, it maybe, shifts to the right a few pixels, which gives the same effect rather then actually enlarging... my 2 cents

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI know it's only a beta, but I'm not impressed so far. 2048 song limit still applies, and playlists are still dysfunctional (i.e. after saving My Playlist you can't see it, and long playlists take up to a minute to start playing).
