This is a discussion on Firmware 2.004 within the Firmware forums, part of the miniPlayer M6 / SL category; will it ever be released or are people just assuming (and hoping) it will? Is there actually any official word ...

The rumour is that a new firmware will be released sometime towards the end of this month.

Swt. There've been many months since i dont touch my player, pretty busy lately. I just turned it on (After leaving it off 2 months) and i was amazed that the battery stills full.. wow

Seems that the new firmware took a lil bit time to release.. with the 2.003 i still having lag problems when i play songs directly from browser.. hope they fix it.

Some might have speculated that this new firmware is taking a long time, maybe because this might be the last firmware they will release for the M6 (the release might be inline with the M6SL).

I agree make it Open-Source. *Can't wait for Rockbox*

Yeah, seriously. Release something! I got tired of waiting and bought a Clix2. A much better player, IMO.

Really loved the M6 but with lag problems navigating through playlists, skips at the end of VBR tracks, it just got annoying. Sure, new firmware gets rid of some bugs/problems but it adds new ones.

J Wong was quoted yesterday as saying that the new firmware is currently being tested by the engineering department should be released soon.

I understand only half of that chinenglish but I'd be very happy to hear that there will be a new firmware that fixes some bugs. Thx for sharing, madman !
