Beta Firmware Release

A Beta or interim version of the new firmware for the M6 was just released on Meizu BBS. This appears to be due to a great many posts about the fact that the M button receives more use than any other control and so may be more prone to failure.
A new entry "Return" has been added to the bottom of all menus so that it is now possible to return to the last menu by tapping the touch strip rather than pressing the M key.
The firmware is being being called version 2.004 but still shows as 2.003.2 when viewed in Settings and information is sketchy as to if any other changes have been included at this stage.

Loading the firmware will set your player to the default language Chinese. To return to English go to menu scroll down to 10th entry press enter and then scroll down to 7th entry.

Also be aware that the image numbering in the resource.bin has changed also so none of the current skins will work with this release.

i hope they did not spend a few months just adding a return feature to the menu, otherwise i'd have to eat my words about meizu.

Omg I hope that M3s next firmware will have that. Because my M button is kinda messed up (I klick on it to go back to the manu but it just "goes up")

This is very annoying and I really want it to get fixed.

What... is there any thing difference to the firmware at all? it seems like all they added is the return option in nearly every menu. and that is actually more annoying if you ask me

I goes out after the upgrade and then i couldn't start it up again... but i have the first firmware again damn i love DFU tools he saved my friends live (m6) many times:P


Edit: Now the updat is working...:D

Mhhh the boot screen is changed... now the text is "Next & Meizu" could anyone explane this?

It seems that whoever uploaded the firmware on Meizu BBS added their own boot screen. I have changed it back to the original and re-uploaded it.

I'm currently working on my newest skin to convert it

I think the recource editor does not work with it i was done saved it, closed the program but i did not saved it... 2 times:'(

I used Resource Editor 1.22 without any problem. HERE

I am very curious to hear what you have found out about the features of the new FW. Please keep me posted - I can't test right now because my Meizu is on the road ..
