    Problem during upload of firmware

    Hi,

I am experiencing some problems when i try to upload my m6 firmware.
I have a version called m6_t1007_en.zip, wich i have unzipped and then copy/pasted the m6.ebn and the resource.bin files to the root of my m6...

When disconnected from the PC, i try to restart the m6, and i get the message "Uploading firmware, please wait..." or something like that.
Then the screen goes all white, and when i try to shut i down, i get no respons.

When holding the "broken arrow" button down for 10 secs, the unit turns off. When connecting it to the PC or trying to turn it on again, the screen is still all white with no response!!

Furthermore, the m6 does not appear on my PC anymore, so i cant even erase the files and go back to scratch!!!

    What can i do???

PS. I am using an european (Danish) firmware.

first of all, since your miniplayer is an SP, the included firmware should already be the s1.009, which is the same in terms of function as the t1.009. i assume you wanted SRS WOW and that's why you tried to install t1.007?

unfortunately, TP and SP firmware are NOT compatible with each other. you can't install a TP firmware in an SP player. and vice versa.

why don't you try the DFU tools? it's available here

make sure you read the instructions in the thread first before giving it a go. good luck!

Uh, when I upload the firmware (any version) it does exactly that and I wait until the white screen goes (usually bout 10 minutes) and all works fine.

However, what BuLLiT said. There is a risk in uploading TP FirmWare into an SP. It can cause all kinds of havoc!

And also, you can download the official firmware from here in the FIRMWARE section
