Fireware question
hey,
I just got my M6!! I love it!!
Anyways, I've been trying to learn as much as I can from this site.
There's a lot of information. Almost too much to digest.
Um, I'm not really sure about all the firmware stuff.
Would it be possiable for whomever writes the firmware to include an option to use the pics on the player as the background pic?
Like go to a pic and select an option for "skin" or something.
Whom do I contact?
I just downloaded the resource editor 1.0.3.1. But, it's all in chinese!
That's what you have to use to get a specific background pic, right?Last edited by Mr Smoke; 08-11-2007 at 03:36 PM.

Firewire is a data connection format used by Apple.
Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

There are English versions of the Resource Editors on site but you do not need to use them to change backgrounds. You will find instructions on how to set backgrounds on page 42 of your players manual.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsYes, you can use any image on your player as a background. Browse the pictures, and view the one you want, then tap enter and select to use as background for whichever place you want to use it (Now Playing BG, eBook BG, Record BG, and I think Radio BG).
The all around background that will be displayed by defualt is changed when you use a different Resource.bin file on your player. The only thing you have to do to skin your player this way is browse here and find a skin you like that is for the same version of firmware you have installed (you might have to read up on which skins are compatible with which version firmwares, also well documented on this site), and then simply download the skin, unzip it and and copy the Resource.bin file to your player's root directory while connected as a USB device (For me, that's G:. The root directory is where you ARE when you can see all the folders the player has.).I swim through a sea of stars, without looking back to shore...
