Here is my problem:
My player suddenly decided to stop responding on turn on (i think it actually ran out of juice). I tried all the recovery steps in FAQ, including DFU as the last resort... So what happens when I use DFU (with firmware 1.010):
- I get the 'download' option
- manifesting image 1 is done in a flash
- when I get the status 'downloading image 1' it's infact 'manifesting image 2'
- after that I hit the 'close' option
- unplug the mini
- press power/play... white screen flashes and...that's all folks
Any suggestions?
Tnx

You should see the following messages:
Manifesting Image 1 with a progress bar at the Image 1: position
Downloading Image 1 with a progress bar at the Image 2: position
Manifesting Image 2
Then Close the DFU Tool and unplug the player.
Turn the player on but you will have to hold the power button a little longer than normal and you should get a Formating green screen.
When that is finished you should get a No Resources green screen message. Connect the player and copy the 1.010 resource.bin file to the player.
Disconnect the player and reboot, After an blank updating resources message you should be ok.
When you update the player to 2.003.2 again after the first software update screen the player will format once more and you will need to then load the resource.bin for 2.003.2
Reboot and you should be good to go.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsOK, so everything was fine untill the:
''When that is finished you should get a No Resources green screen message. Connect the player and copy the 1.010 resource.bin file to the player.''
That part doesn't work. I mean, I get no 'No Resources' green screen.
Even if I connect the player, it is not recognized by the computer... well it's not even ON!
What now?
tnx

So you got the Formating green screen?
Are you using the right version of firmware TP\SP for your player?

No don't try the wrong firmware.
If you get the formating screen and then no furthur I suggest you contact your supplier re: repair or replacement.

let the player run out of juice
retry DFU
KEEP THE POWER END M BUTTON PRESSED throughout the whole process
use search to find the DFU guide and you can fix your player...

Try downloading the other version of the firmware. It won't hurt, and chances are, will fix the player.
If you are having trouble with your player, please visit this thread first and try the steps before you panic. Most likely you will be able to fix your player easily using the steps listed.
