Dead meizu m6 SP

Hi,

I have Meizu M6 SP mp3 player. I had upgraded the firmware to latest without any problem and it was working fine after that for a few days. It stopped working suddenly today. Won't power on and connecting to computer won't get it recognized. Looks like I would need to use DFU Tool. Can someone please point me to the tool and instructions.

Thanks

I've just had the same problem. The M6 was working OK last night, but when trying to switch it on this morning it was completely dead, not even a flash of the backlight. USB was also dead.

I tried to follow the recovery process in the FAQ, but found that by holding the Enter key down for a few tens of seconds and then holding the on-off key and the 'm' key suddenly caused it to burst into life. Not sure which action caused it to recover, but it certainly wasn't DFU tools as the PC never got to the point of recognising that the player was plugged in.

Boogle, Perhaps you left your player turned on , Leave it to charge via USB for a few hours and see if anythign happens (Dont worry if charging screen dosnt come up)

up, I agree with #4.

If still dead, try hardware reset process. press >>| and power on button both and hold maybe 10 seconds, while screen turn green. If right, green screen will turn to power on screen in few seconds, you will find all your files and personal setting were gone, but your machine relived.

I think 10 seconds won" be enough. I had to wait ca. 30 seconds or more for it.

This exact same thing happened to me and holding down the Enter key for 30-ish seconds and then immediately pressing the power and Menu keys for a few seconds and holding them and it came back from the dead. Thank you Boggle

(I tried the reformat thing and it didn't respond at all. I'm glad, because with Boggle's trick, I didn't lose anything)

I was about ready to throw it out. It seemed really dead. The backlight wasn't on and didn't even flicker and the computer wouldn't recognize it at all.

OMG. I performmed a hard reset as well but now my player wont start. It just gives a white flash and then goes dead again. Al I wanted was to download the new firmware and now it wont work anymore. I am gutted. I read all the fact but really don't know how to fix this because my player won't even start.

OMFG I did and guess what it didn't work! Not everybody is a noob but when all else fails there is no other option to return it which I did. It seems like a lot of players are dying because of the new firmware when you look at this forum.
