Hey guys, do I need a backup for this upgrade? My current version is 2.002.3.

nope. Player won't format from 2.002.3.

After copying the two files to the player I switched it off and on again and the update procedure started. The display went black after a few seconds. I tapped the on/off Button shortly, so the display went on again for about one second, noticing me that the upgrade procedure is still in process. I did that several times until I thought, it had to be done now. So I switched the player off and on again, a second upgrade appeared on the screen and after that the player was ready to provide me with my music again.

My own background picture didn't change, the font color was resetted to white. Virtual3d was switched off but my user EQ was still the same.

I just updated as well with no hiccups. when restarting the player for the first time, you get a "upgrading software, please wait", then it seems the player will shut off. Hitting the power button again it then displays "updating resource, please wait" and then good to go. Most all my settings were unchanged! Sweet!

So whats fixed/new in it?
