This is a discussion on Wishlist for Firmware 2.004 within the Firmware forums, part of the miniPlayer M6 / SL category; Does the people over at Meizu even read all the comments posted here? There's really a lot of good comments ...

Does the people over at Meizu even read all the comments posted here? There's really a lot of good comments on how to improve functionality, fix bugs etc. so it would be a shame if they didn't get this information that's being published here... well that was just something I've been thinking about.

    Back to my wishes:
*OTG-support (how hard can it be to fix something they already have "promised" like 6 months ago? Or have all bought the battery-pack in vain? I didn't buy it for the external power supply or charger anyway )
    *A-B Repeat
    *PNG pitcure support

And while they're at it they can also fix the automatic library music update back to manual.
Well to be frank I don't have much hope for Meizus upcoming FWs for the M6, it seems like they all lost focus on what's important and what's not, they keep throwing these almost useless new functions to us, but don't take care of me most basic and fundamental bugs? And as I already have written whata hack happened to the OTG-Support? Does anybody have a clue at all?!
It's just too sad to see were this is going...

Please fix typo in menu item

    location: Settings > Display
    current: Backgroud Blend
    correct: Background Blend

this text is incorrect since previous versions of firmware.
    I am currently using 2.003.2

    Wishlist
    - be able to add and delete songs from saved playlists

One suggestion that may be impossible to implement:
instead of converting videos with 90degree rotate, have the device recognize the screen as landscape natively, that way I can just load videos without the need to make another rotated copy.

Love the product, great feature set.
You guys did a great job!

    Thanks, g000n

    1) disable/enable audio update during boot up
    2) ability to use the stopwatch while listening to music
    3) use album art stored in the ID3 tags
    4) add another view to music player that displays enlarged album art.

    In order of importance:

    1. Touch Level Sensitivity Option
    2. Display songs using by ID3 Tag. (Artist, Title, Album, etc.)
    3. Faster Bootup (Disable/Enable "Update Music Library" & "Meizu/MiniPlayer Logo)"
    4. Bug Fix: Sometimes player lags when navigating through tracks.
    5. Video Fixes: Synchronized Audio/Video Controls, Higher Framerate Support

    1. I found a bug, problem fast-forwarding MP3 songs encoded in 256kbps. It's descibed in this thread.

    2. Better video capabilities would really boost the value of this wonderful device. It doesn't handle video well. Bad audio/video sync, skipping frames, sometimes frames are ripped/torn (v-sync problem).
I did lots of experiments with several video converting tools and I could not get a good result. This should not be the case!

    Thanks!

First thigs firts!! I just wanna an stable FW.

    Fix:
    -Faster boot up.
-It would nice if you could turn off the screen (actually you can using M button) and use it as non-screen player. I think i would be interesting since when I listenting an album a change between song and don't watch the screen at all. I would be useful for M6's autonomy.
    -Faster syncronize or enable/disable option.
-When you change rapidly between song I can`t see the name of the selected song until the player starts to play the song. I thinnk it's better to show first the name of the song and delay the play so you could see the song before listen. I mean, when I want to select a song and I don't remember the track number I have to wait to player starts to play the song and show the track title.
-Another bugs I don't remember right now, like EQ bend...

    bye!

    You're totally right.
I also think it would be better to keep the screen turned off, and the user will be able to turn it back on, for exmple by pressing the "m" button again.
And there's a lag when changing songs and radio stations also, that's a bit annoying too.
