I don't know what you guys think but After looking at the Iriver Clix version 2 review here.. i'd say iriver is smart with their Gui.
I especially like the large text scroolling highlight nicely over the wall paper. Other text not selected is fade out.
Since i'd prefer to see the text rather than the top bar , i'd say switch to a new gui is a good move if Meizu Software developer can redesign it. It would take time though. I don't like the top bar much , cause it blocks my wallpaper . Remove the transparent box layer of volume and time frame and just leave the bar alone would make it look nice..
Btw, just look at that iriver review.. I'd say it'll be a better move rather than following the old step of others Mp3 player ( u know what i'm talking about ).
In Conclusion : i'd prefer clean nice simple lay out. Large and scroollllinnng text ( with nice animation also great). No more clear box or topbar just text only is nice enough. Change the font to one with smooth edges. I'd like to see these improvements.
I've been thinking about this alot cause Meizu is missing something that doesn't appeal much to people, i'd say it's the GUI. The current one is nice with customization of skin designer here. But I'd like something more than just original...
That's just my suggestion cause I want Meizu to be better in their products.mariposahd.tv

A music player that has its own GUI is better then a music player that copies the GUI of other music players. I reckon the GUI of M6 is very easy to use, and possibly copying the GUI of Apple too much. However, it is easy and simple to use.
The iRiver Clix has a nice GUI, but I think for now, Meizu owners just want to get the best fixes to firmware problems as possible. GUIs come second.Meizu M8 MiniOne

I mean I also like the Clix Gui, who doesn't? We can only hope that Meizu improves or even "redesigns" their GUI. Or make it open source? *smile*
By the way, you can "turn off" the topbar. There is an image for it in the resource.bin which you only have to give the transparent color.
But imho this doesn't change much

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsPersonally,
If I want the iRIVER CLIX GUI, I simply use my iRIVER CLIX!
The MEIZU GUI is simple, elegant, and gimmick-free, and I like it just the way it is.

I had a iRiver X20 and I agree that it has a wonderful GUI and a nice MTP system to handle file organization, it sound good too and also play nicely videos. It's like an iPod which has the same characteristic, except that iPod is even more limited and restricted. X20 at least let your watch videos and listen to FM radio. But these are players and nothing else... Finally I get bored of it and I gave it as a gift to my cousin.
Users have to know what is the difference between a player and a toy or gadget if you prefer.
Meizu M3 and M6 is not just a player, is a gadget that besides of what bring me that X20, allow me to play with it without limitations, I am often loading pictures that I use as wallpapers so my players look different all the time. I am constantly searching for new skins (actually i am using one skin I picked from Meizu BBS). One of this day I will start making my own skin. There are tools for that.
To make my device do thing that in other comes easily programmed, is also a challenge, like it was to make my device to show properly cover art... and finally... to discover some capabilities and share with others here in this site... is also a wonderful fun.
It's not difficult to notice what are the extra fun a device like Meizu players can bring you.
Thanks god this wonderful machines are not as perfect as iPod and iRiver... I am making it more perfect... because this are MY players not of Apple or iRiver.
Finally... Meizu sound by far more better than this others brands. I feel it so
