Should we change the way wishlists work?

The last firmware-updates has made alot of people disappointed and some of us are starting to question the things Meizu prioritize.
But maybe we are responsible for it.

There are alot of new sugestions in the wishlists every time and as we probably get more people joining this forum every day the amount of different wishes will surely increase. The last wishlist had 14 pages of wishes.
The more new stuff Meizu wants/has to add, the less time they can spend on fixing the bugs and improving features thats allready there but we arent satisfied with, we should think about this before we add 10 brand new nifty ideas to the wishlist.

Maybe we should make some changes to the wishlist?
At the Meizu-scandinavia-forum i remember they used to make a poll for some of the most frequent mentioned wishes and then we could vote and see what changes was wanted the most.
This would make it easier for Meizu to see what the majority wants.

    What do you guys think?

    Um... Enough already

EDIT: To clarify what I mean, I posted a thread with this same point not one hour ago.

Also, polls are great, and I've actually tried to make one, but I remember that many people came in with statements that made it clear not everybody really understood the idea behind them.

That thread in question is here, dating back to february. Mind you, the feature asked for in and by that poll, a change to the automatic shutdown, is still nowhere in sight.

    totally agree.
adding features but leaving old issues doesn't make sense.

    yup, great idea the poll.

No problem! It needed to be said, doesn't matter who says it.

We should think about how to make these polls the best way.
I looked at your last poll and we cant choose just one thing like that and ask yes/no because lots of people maybe doesnt even care about that specific thing. We should make one list of say the 20most mentioned things and then you can choose wich one you wants fixed fastest.

I think only the mods should be able to make these polls, otherwise there will start to pop upp 10 polls a day with everyone asking about their own thing, that will not help either us or Meizu and then we are back where we started.

I completely agree, there needs to be one central place where a definitive list of bugs and requests are maintained. Hopefully Meizu would address the bugs first and then add the frills. If only !!

We europeans cant read the official boards, doesnt work with our fonts etc. And we know Meizu is watching this place so there is no need to move.
But when the polls have started someone could post a thread there and link to the poll-thread here so they see it, or something like that.

Good idea, but it will take time and dedication. Right now my schedule is full.

Any volunteers to plan and organize something like this?

This is funny. Obviously you like to complain a lot but won't help making things better.

I would love to help, but i suffer from severe Repetetive Strain Injuries since 4 years back and I shouldnt even be using a computer outside of work.

Like i have said earlier i have had this player for almost a year now and all my praisings and amazements was done last summer on the Scandinavian meizu-forum, i pretty much spammed it with pics and lovely new stuff, im the one who posted the first user-video of the M6 that ended up on dapreview among other sites. Believe me i have made alot of positive comments about this player.

I have not been very active since i rejoined this forum, but when they keep putting out fw after fw with many bugs ignored i like to speak my mind so maybe they see that we arent happy about this.

I remember giving alot of criticism about the albumart which was a big disappointment to alot of us but I tried beeing constructive by photoshoping a pic showing how good it really could be if they just put some effort and thought in it.

Im certainly not alone about complaining about these two new firmwares but i dont see you jumping on anybody else.

I thought I started a constructive thread here with a good idea on how to make things better and maybe getting Meizu to listen to us a bit more, but apparently im just an asshole bitching about everything and everyone without reason, or maybe you should open your eyes.

Many true miniPlayer fans are disappointed as much as they love the player: I think we all know how good it is and would like for it to exploit its full potentials, whilst giving our little contribution to it, in the form of software, skins, backgrounds, ideas suggestions, bug reporting... and marketing too! (BTW, thanks to everybody for the contributions!)
Yes, because I think that outside China the real marketing has been done by Meizu fans, and I'm sure most of us made a lot of friends buy miniPlayer too: in my case I had purchased totally five of them and talked about it a lot with friends.
Meizu is building its overseas reputation in this very moment: I hope they won't ruin it, because their products can be very competitive.

I think that Error is right and a moderator for the wishlist and bugfix list shall be appointed. It's not a 5 minutes job.

Given the recognised importance of this community by Meizu, it would be important that regularly Meizu may drop two words to us, describing what's going on in their labs (once every two weeks?).

Regarding our requests to Meizu, I think that we should separate the list of required bugfixes and of the improvements, changes, adds, etc.
Then, given that Meizu people cannot do it all, as in a negotiation we should make very clear what for each user and then for all the community are a "must" (things we think are absolutely need ASAP), "should" (things we would really like but are not a priority) and "could" (things that would be interesting to get, but we may live without).

a little thing i could do is provide a bug teport template (simple xls file) because that's actually my job, but involved into something else.

btw i couldn't be very helpful to fill it because it's about a week i'm reading this board an i don't have the miniplayer yet LOL
