Tried downloading for the chinese site but that takes forever and ever freezes at 50%. :/

How can one see what release of 2.003.2 is running on the player? I've been reading about different releases of this 2.003.2 firmware and they all seem to have the same version number.

All of the 2.003.2 firmware releases you've been reading about are the same firmware. Each different firmware is given a different name, so if the firmware has the same name as another firmware it's the same firmware (apart from the TP and SP versions).
I've got another problem tho. Whenever I leave my m6 on pause for a minute or so, it turns itself off even though I've set the timer on off (if that makes sense). And whenever I go to turn it back on, I have to push the power button 3 times; first the screen flashes, then it makes the button clicking noise, then it turns on. Does this happen to anyone else?
I'm using S2.003.2 btw

I got my 8GB M6 yesterday but here are some of the problems i have with it. (Firmware SP 2.003.2)
- When connected to USB source to charge there is a small static hiss coming out of the player. I think it has something to do with the backlight, however if i turn the backlight off the sound is still there...(nothing is plugged into the sound port)
- The video and audio sync problem, do you guys think it has something to do with the player or software? I read a thread regarding that problem but am slightly confused on how to properly encode a video.
Also, really hope they can add a touchpad sensitivity option in the next firmware.
Thanks,
gilliu00_

I downloaded and tested a bunch of converters (badak, loli, iriverter) and although they all(?) use the same codecs there is a huge difference between how much "audio sync" problems you get.
For me iriverter seems to give the least sync problems.

Cool. However i was browsing through the video section of the forum and found batman, tested it with a small file and the sync was perfect
But the problem is i was trying it with a movie and it takes 3 hours to encode...has to do 2 passes

Also that annoying resume playback glitch is still there where when your stop and resume your music it would play the beginning of the song for one second then skip to where you were previously.
There was no noticeable difference in volume. (I always use volume 5 for my earbuds and it appears to have the same loudness as that in 2002.3)
Although it isnt the official release, so we can still keep our hopes up. =P
What playback glitch? I don't have that issue.

play any song, then turn off your miniplayer. Turn it on and press play, you'll hear a split second of the beginning of the track then it will jump to the position you were before you turned your player off.
Small glitch really, but it shouldn't do that =P

I'm not sure if this belongs here but I upgraded my firmware from the Dane Electruc site and it killed the FM radio. How do I get it back or am I returning this? I have version S 2.003.2 on my minplayer. When it was delivered earlier today, the FM radio was fine. I did an update and it's gone.

Just use a firmware you find here on meizume and it will fix it. The FM radio is disabled in Dane-Elec firmware due to taxes or regulations.

Will any version work?
Funny, the player had the radio until I upgraded at the Dane-Electric Site. Where should I go?

Try the instructions in the FAQ:
Meizu Me - FAQ: Meizu Mini Player M6 FAQ
As for the firmware, you'll want the same version as your player, you can check in the player's Settings-About. Use the 2.004.6 firmware, you can find that in the M6 resources link in my signature. It's the latest good one.

Edit: Okay, I had an upgrade error. I guess we have to update twice again.
It works now and the first thing you see is a bar for the library update, which shows the current song. The default wallpaper is changed as well.
Another thing is that there is no more sand glass, but an animated circle before you see a video. Pretty nice.
what do you mean update twice? i tried to install and what happened was that it can't find the resource and to try again. but i don't know how to do that, you think maybe u can help me, im new here and i fear that i bricked my meizu m6.

okay i did everything it said and the green failure screen popped out and i kept doing the "copy over resource bin" thing and it hasn't worked, how do we get back out of the green screen?
oh and uh, when i connect my miniplayer, the only files it bring out are my music file, pic file, record file, system file, video file, and my playlist file. where should i put the update because i don't have a file that says root.
