I believe they changed that function - which is illogical since the menus show a ">" next to them asssuming you should be able to use the arrow keys. You need to hit enter now, or a light tap on the "<>" which is now considered an enter command. I don't particularly like the newer menu navigation. Not easy to utilize when you need tactile functioning, like when driving down the freeway. The problem is Meizu keeps changing the navigation, after people get used to a way to use the player.
Waiting for what Meizu is going to change on the next Firmware upgrade . . . .

I upgraded but menu was in Chinese/English. For all the Dutch users here's the one with Dutch menu.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsHeh. I wish I would of seen this thread prior to ordering my M6. I wouldn't of done that. I have placed a cancellation request at houseofDap.com today so I will see what happens with that. If it gets canceled then I will go and purchase a different player. Sorry but there are too many bugs that need to be fixed before any new features get added. I originally bought the player because there is alot of functionality but I keep forgetting the rule.
An item may be able to do alot of things good but none of them great. In this case it does some things poorly by my impression here. Among them are the various glitches with MP3 files and some apparent issues with VBR-MP3 considering that one of the requests for 2.2004 was to fix the MP3-VBR playback issues.
EDIT: Cancelled the cancel request. I think I want to see if it is as bad as everyone is saying. I gotta remember that everything has issues in some areas and that it isn't always as bad as it seems when reading through a forum. Kinda like the R4 unit I got for my Nintendo DS since everyone on that forum is complaining about issues with theirs but I have none.Last edited by shinji; 06-11-2007 at 02:40 PM.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postsgood thing you edited your post. People are always complaining, even if a product is great. There are some bugs and glitches, but they do not overweight.
Maybe meizu fixes some of them with the next firmware.
Let's hope for the best and be happy with what we got!Last edited by barc; 06-11-2007 at 04:25 PM.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsIt seems that I can't get the dutch language working. I put the M6.EBN and the resource.bin in the root of the player. Update succeeded but the language is English. In the menu it only displays English, Chinese and some other language. Anyone..?

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsThe sound of the device is pretty good, but there are a few things that annoys me extremely with this player to a point where I start to dislike the device:
The update music library thing during startup (tried the "solution" with the archive file)
The auto shutdown after a few minutes (which needs a normal boot that takes forever)
The user interface isn't very intuitive For example: If you browse and there is a ">" in the menu, you can do 2 things:
1- You slide to the right to the ">>|" button, or 2: you press the lower "enter" button.
To me it seems more logical to be able to press the ">>|" button to go further into the menu options, and "|<< " to go back to the previous menu.
In short: It makes it alot easier to navigate if the orientations of the buttons are equal to the orientation of the menu. Or at least make this user configurable. Is this so difficult to do?

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsHi all. Looking forward to getting a 4 or 8gig miniplayer, but I'm waiting till they fix the major bugs, eg. scrolling too fast. Anyone know approximately when they're going to release another firmware?
