M6 Firmware 2.003

I've read all the msg about fw 2.003.2 and there are several post that complain about tap up/down... I'm not sure that we talk about the same thing but if this is the ability to rapid scroll or to change the volume up/down or to go up/down in the menu by putting his finger between M and |<< >>|, Enter and |<< >>| I found it still working !

Still Big Bug issue :
- End of song noise problem

New Bugs ?
- Sometime my player shut off after a song, it not occurring while playing the song but after so i didn't noticed at first time because i was thinking it was the end of the album.
- Unnecessary Update library after disconnecting.

I can confirm these two bugs.

So can I, and they're definitely new too. It really sucks when my player shuts down for no reason cuz it does an automatic (and completely useless) music library update on startup

yeh , the libary update thing has been going on since the 2 series , i get that bug aswell and im on 2.002 not 3 and by the way , if you try and downgrade then it wont fix , it seems to be a bad problem to do with the number of files you have ( there is a topic about it) do a search for more info...

Did anyone notice that, when you press the RW or FF buttons >>| |<< in a album/artist/music list, it takes you to the top, middle, and bottom of the list by each press? Try it! Pretty cool function~

Hmmm... I'm downgrading to the latest Dane-Elec version. The bug where the players switches off suddenly is just too annoying. I hope they will fix it soon!

Ummmm....syncing with WMP11 does not do anything in terms of the stutter problem. I tried this and the problem still persists. This is so freaking annoying.

I'm just wondering if firmware 2.00.03 makes the sliding panel working better. I'm wondering about buying the M6, but I was playing at shop one with FW 1.00.1, and I gotta say that touch panel was awful.

I'm also not sure what version it was (SP/TP), maybe it was TP, so maybe the SP has better touch panel?

it was probably an sp as there are no more tp ones being sold now. personally, i have never had a problem with the touchpad but i believe that more recent firmware has sort of "fixed" the touch strip.

In my present firmware there's hungarian language (S1.010.2) , if I overwrite with the new edition will this language be dismissed? if yes, how can I translate firmware to hungarian?

@Glacier: I've never experienced any trouble with the sliding path, but I've only used fw s2.x

@Bendee: Yes languages are overwritten. New FW's have two Chinese languages and one English. Even worse when I updated my player, it was booted in a Chinese Language, so I had to count the menu items in order to get my English menus back.

fel kell raknod egy resource editort, és például a kínai nyelv helyére be copy/paste-zed a magyar nyelvet, ami megtalálható a firmwareben, csak az m6-on nem lehet beállítani.

ja meg létezik az az Emgeton firmware is, ami egy európai cég, és az m6-ot ilyen néven árulja itt...szal abban a firmwareben asszem alapból van magyar nyelv, próbáld ki.

sure, just make sure you upgrade to the T version!

just upgraded the ware, its ok...seems faster, now i can see whats going on instead of just waiting for the player to start up/cycle files...
im not sure how to show the dancing GIF files...

You can only play GIF files in your pictures folder or in browser. You cannot set it as a background - it won't move, just stays as the picture.

I'm not attacking anyone. That's a waste. And please read my post carefully; I didn't have a question, I had a complaint. I figure the Forum is a fine place to put this complaint, don't you?

I'm sure that in the FAQ there are sorts of goodies. I'm afraid you missed the point: Changing the firmware **should not** change the settings, unless I get some kind of warning that this will happen. Not only did the language change, but also my display settings, randomization settings, and other things were simply reset back to default. That's lame. This user is grumpy.

Imagine the following (it's the truth): someone visits me in China. We go buy a Meizu (because I'm so satisfied with the thing, and I figure, why buy an overrated iPod?), and I turn the interface to English for them. They go home to the US and then decide to upgrade the firmware. Suddenly, boom! The interface is in Chinese again--and they never had the chance to "know their Meizu well enough" (bah).

Please Meizu be nice to your users!
