Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postsyes, with the latest firmware it works for all my albums.
just put all music files in 1 folder with the album name, then put a .jpg file 100*100 (I noticed bigger resolutions take longer to load) with the name ALBUMARTIST something like this:

question:
how is the background in the firmware different from the previous one?
i just upgraded and the background is exactly the same
I also have the feeling that scrolling got slower... did anyone notice that?
ps: no noticeable change in hissing or sound qualityLast edited by Job; 04-29-2007 at 12:15 AM.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsFirmware upgrade reset language settings!!! ARGH!
Greetings
I'm happy that you guys are still releasing firmware upgrades. That's good stuff.
But after the upgrade my player is back in Chinese mode. Argh! I can't believe you'd do something like that. Not very friendly to your users in this case. Grrrr.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsCalm down dude. It ain't hard to get it back to English...
Play around with settings... If you know your miniplayer well, then you know where everything is, even without the correct language.Meizu M8 MiniOne

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI'm totally calm here, dudes.
Of course I can get it back into English mode--by asking a Chinese friend or by recalling from memory where exactly the settings menu is. (Not everyone's so cool and memorizes all the ins and outs of their player. Some just like to listen to music with it)
But that's not the point. ("Ain't" isn't a word, but that isn't the point either, is it?) The point is that a user expects everything to be A-OK after an update--and an average user might get upset if that expectation is broken.
If this were the Chinese-only version, why didn't it say so on the download link?

ain't /eɪnt/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[eynt] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation
1. Nonstandard except in some dialects. am not; are not; is not.
2. Nonstandard. have not; has not; do not; does not; did not.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Origin: 1770–80; var. of amn't (contr. of am not) by loss of m and raising with compensatory lengthening of a; cf. aren't]
—Usage note As a substitute for am not, is not, and are not in declarative sentences, ain't is more common in uneducated speech than in educated, but it occurs with some frequency in the informal speech of the educated, especially in the southern and south-central states. This is especially true of the interrogative use of ain't I? as a substitute for the formal and—to some—stilted am I not? or for aren't I?, considered by some to be ungrammatical, or for the awkward—and rare in American speech—amn't I? Some speakers avoid any of the preceding forms by substituting Isn't that so (true, the case)? Ain't occurs in humorous or set phrases: Ain't it the truth! She ain't what she used to be. It ain't funny. The word is also used for emphasis: That just ain't so! It does not appear in formal writing except for deliberate effect in such phrases or to represent speech. As a substitute for have not or has not and—occasionally in Southern speech—do not, does not, and did not, it is nonstandard except in similar humorous uses: You ain't heard nothin' yet! See also aren't.
And I ain't a "dude", perhaps you should download your firmware updates from the official Meizu site in future to save yourself confussion.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI agree with pbts. I downloaded from the link provided on THIS site and the poster providing the link did not indicate that it would set your language to chinese. As for knowing your player well enough to change it, what a ridiculous statement. How many people know it well enough to know where the language settings are? Having never had to change the language before I had no idea where the settings were and had to rely on finding them on this site. Oh, and providing a long post on the word "ain't" is not only way off topic but very petty.
